No, really. Americans don't support their own prizefighters the way other nationalities do. The babysitting usually ends after the Olympics.

oh ok. yea i suppose. I dont really see it as babysitting tbh.

Here in the UK we love our ''heroes''. We go way OTT with them. When they are winning, we crown them legends and hype them up to no end. As soon as they are down we kick the **** out of them. Its quite messed up really.

maybe its coz America have so many athletes at the top of their sports?
I dont think its a bad thing supporting your own prizefighters. As long as it doesn't go overboard

in all honesty i think its coz hes simply the best boxer of this era. Lets face it they wouldnt like floyd coz of his sparkling open personality.

Make no mistake about it though. If floyd ever loses hell get stamped on over here. We love kicking ppl when they are down. The media anyway

It doesn't matter who it is Manny, Floyd, they usually don't look that great sparring the first weeks of training. You just can't get off the couch and expect to fight like it's fight night and go 20 rounds.

Naa no chance we LOVE Mike Tyson and he lost! Look at the scenes when he came over! You had news reporters perplxed and trying to discredit him by saying he was a ****** etc etc

If he loses it will be the media who take Money to the sword not the fans

If Money ever fights over here it will be crazy make no mistake! The black community will come out in force for him, they love a champion!!

Yeah but if i was maidana i'd come out trying to knock amir clean out within the first round. Thats his best shot in any case. If his trainer has any sense who would probably be telling his charge this. Also khan does still get hit. He isnt mayweather in there. Kotelnik landed, paulie landed. You gotta admit the prospect of a maidana KO is very high.

I agree. If Maidana doesn't do it within the first 4 rounds, I believe he'll lose.

I just know Maidana will come out in the first round charging, because he knows that's his only chance.

I just hope Khan is switched onto that fact.

He does seem awfully confident in this video though. It does bring some satisfaction to me.

    Jealousy? Probably some jealousy

Race? That probably has a lot to do with it with some people

Proteceted? That has a lot to do with it also, especially with the blatant way he is protected, yet his fans still pump him up as if he's actually fighting the top guys out there.

Jealousy, yes, a lot of jealousy with his early success.
    Race, sure does.

I don't see Khan as 'protected' when you look at the other guys resume's like Hatton, Calzaghe, who did they fight in there fight till they got to about 30+ fights?

Khan fought Kotelnik, who he dominated and Kotelnik himself beat Maidana and Alexander.

    Khan fought a renewed Malignaggi.

    Now Maidana.

That's not a protected career when you're just into about your 20th fights +
