I think it would hit hard the neck and the chin and jaw muscles... This content is protected That was obviously an out of the way "exercise",which I've never seen a fighter do- I honestly don't know whether I'm clutching at straws here. Apparently,Dempsey used to chew a some very tough gum to work the jaw.
Big shoulder and neck muscles can help a fighter to absorb a punch better, can't they? Have seen Hopkins training with that funny looking headguard, with chains hanging off it and a weight at the end. Not too sure if this would work for Khan though; he looks like he has the big shoulders already. His chin is just made of china.
The neck harness.... This content is protected IMO bridging exercises are better.Promote flexibility in the neck muscles and better teaches the body to work as a single unit. This content is protected This content is protected
Yep, Nigel Benn used to use that and similar exercises. I think Khans jaw is past that though, his best bet it to try to develop a style that keeps him from getting hit on the chin too often.
A jew, a gay and santa claus all jump off a cliff at the same time, who hits the ground first? Amir Khan
