everyone wants him to train them now. Is that only because of Manny? or because he made other fighters better to.

The way Roach has improved Pacquiao will always be attached to Freddy & that's what he is best known for. However, he has improved Khan a great deal & has a healthy stable of fighters at the Wildcard gym. Not to mention, many pros want him to be their trainer!

He has been signed up by Felix Sturm & Roach has said he will be looking to improve Sturm's output, workrate, etc. With success comes the weight of expectation & I expect Roach to improve Sturm as a fighter! We shall see though!

Roach learned much of his duties from the legendary Eddie Futch! If one couldn't learn from the late Futch, then one could not learn from anyone! Eddie Futch was one of the very finest trainers Boxing has ever seen!

Considering that, its not too surprising that Roach is a good, sought after trainer!

lol....dawson was not taught to box by SR and nor was pac by roach...these guys obviously have immense ability and a great foundation given to them by whoever trained them...noone will ever know who the best trainer is but I have just as much respect for jack loew as roach for taking KP form a 14 year old kid to a MW champ...now don't get me wrong, freddie is a great trainer and SR taught floyd so he is too....but whoever teaches a guy from day one on is the best...who has the biggest stable of guys from DAY 1...

Freddie Roach learned from the best trainer Eddie Futch. I do agree that Manny has made him look good but hey it goes both ways. Manny would still be a great fighter but not anywhere the level that Roach has taken him.
I also think Nazeem Richardson is a very good trainer, and Of course Nacho Beristain.
In no particular order 3 guys are first to come to mind

    Whatever happened to Bouie Fisher?

Absolutely. I love the work Sr. Did for Dawson he was Quick and Agressive. Chad is a diffrent fighter now, He dosent throw as many shots and he is way slower now, I think he has been lifting weights the guy has some bulk now.I wish the Mayweather come back board and show him how to Pot Shot.

I think Roach and Richardson are the best. Not because they know the art of boxing any better than other trainers, but they train their fighters to the style of their opponent. Alot of fighter, elite fighters like Mayweather and Calzaghe included, dont watch videos of their opponents and make a game plan to match that fight. The two mentioned are good enough to get away with it, other are not.

Trainers need to start watching videos more... Roach even said this himself!

What he has done for Pacman and Khan is out of sight.

He is a great trainer, the best out there right now.

He changes fighters and deserves massive credit, clearly the best out there now.

Khan will achieve alot with him.
