Everything Freddie Roach said leading up to this fight was absolutely correct. Oscar couldn't pull the trigger and Manny kept his speed and power. Roach had the plan and trained Manny perfectly. Hats off to Manny for a brilliant performance and congratulations to Freddie Roach. When you are right, you are right!

    Trainer of the year! :happy

He even predicted a TKO, In my mind if Pac had a chance it would have been like a split desicion or something, what a shocker, great victory for Roach and Pac!

It's not just the training, the thing he gets most credit for is actually making this fight happen.

He saw the opportunity to win the fight since he has extensive knowledge of both, and he made it despite the boxing world doubting him.

Before we hug his nuts too much let's not forget that he thought B-hop would get his ass hung out to dry by Pavlik.

So he's only as sage as the individual result allows him to be.

And I think a one Mr PacMan has something to do with last night's victory too - lest we forget just how well he's transitioned to the weight.

This just reaffirms how good Kahn is, he was giving Pac a 'tough' time in sparring. Kahn p4p 2 just behind Pac of course.

Let's not joke at a time like this.

Although I do think the kid is pretty good, incidentally.

Has to step up the competition carefully and build up different skill-sets.

but he wasnt training bhop. roach is the best trainer for pac and pac is the best fighter for him to coach. roach is a great trainer because he knows the capabilities of his fighter. that's the only requirement of being a great trainer. he does not need to be spot on with all of his predictions, he only needs to be correct with the ones he make with his fighter involved

Yes without a doubt. Enzo Calzaghe doesnt deserve to be trainer of the year because his son fought a shot RJJ and was expected to beat him.
