Freddie said Oscar couldnt pull the trigger anymore, but he still had a good fight against Floyd.

Manny can still pull the trigger and Roach knows what his fighter must do in order to break Floyd down and get the win.

But in the mean time we have Mosely lined up to fight Floyd.but we have yet to see an announcement??

Manny is fighting Clottey next and is another of those fights that appears to be very dangerous for the pacman....Ive seen what Pacman can do but i still think he is sailing in dangerous waters.,,,,,,I guess that marks him out as something special.....I wonder if Mosely vs Pacman will happen before Floyd vs Mosely does?

Freddie, confident cause he thinks his boy can win? Maybe but he also knows there is a check with six zeros on the end of it coming his way as well. But yeah I think he feels his fighter has a chance. I mean the other fighter he trained got a split decision so he's got to know Floyd decently well from that. As far as not being concentrated on Clottey is concerned --> Nah, I don't by that. The Clottey fights is a no brainer for Pac an his team. Thats not to say that its not a very ballsy move fighting Clottey or that Clottey doesn't have a shot at winning the fight. But at this point in there ascention there is no great mistery when it comes to Clottey. Basically it will be the DLH fight plan with a little of the Cotto fight plan mixed in (as Pac is now more used to the weight). Pac and Freddie know what kinda shape they need to be in and how they should go about fighting Clottey. Clottey's not going to be a mistery to them. So trust me there will be plenty of time for Freddie to dable with a Floyd game plan....and for Ariza to figure out how to beat them pesky drug tests:yep

Roach tells it like it is. He is not scared so give credit where credit is due.

I'd rather a trainer who says that than one who says "He's so good he must be on PED's"

    Interesting.

I really love reading trainer's thoughts and assessment of fighters, especially the calibers of Mayweather. Nazim, Nacho, Steward. These are top-flight trainers and you can see how their minds work.

I would be excited to see their strategy being executed against Mayweather's vaunted skills.

what about "we'll knock him out, shut him up", "I don't see any greatness, he throws 10 punches a round", and "he's the easiest fight out of the 3, he's small and fragile"

This is why I think Roach and Arum collectively were eager to kill negotiations. I think it's less about PEDs and more about giving Pac more time to prepare. It's not going to matter though. Pac can't beat if the fight goes 3 or 4 rounds.

They could already have the fight if not for that unpecedented request based on an unfounded rumor from Mayweather, Jr, remember.

Your not doing yourself any favours, if my favourite fighter was the one that walked away from the richest fight in history vs his most dangerous opponent, Id be keeping my mouth shut until he manned up, then perhaps talk **** but right now ?.... you need to think before you speak.

    Thats all !

I think that this- along with the steroid accusations, really at the heart of it- show that both sides have tremendous regard for the other. They know that the other man is capable of beating them- in other words they both know they have met their match. Lets face it- either side could have made the fight with a small concession- but neither did- it reminds me of a school fight with the two toughest kids- but neither wants to throw the first punch, and they both end up walking away- keeping both their reps in tact.

they have to meet eventually - but i think either side dosent mind waiting and seeing a flaw in the other.

But to my original point- they both exhibit the traits of a person when they meet their equal, especially at such a high level- disbelief, deisrespect, then arrogance and overconfidence, then insecurity, eventually respect. when these two athletes meet- whereever they are mentally on that curve will determine the winner. in other words , i believe this fight will be won as much mentally as it is physically- and those things are determined before the bell rings.

neither man is ducking the other- theyre simply circling is all. they both have respect for each other, and waryness - but not fear. when two lions fight- they circle for hours- before they pounce, sizing each other up. in this world- its the equivalent.

"ok i know ur great- and im great- but let me get another look at you, a longer look at you before i make my move" they are both saying by delaying this fight- and taking other fights. They are BOTH saying it with their actions- BOTH, not one more than the other.

another metaphor, like in an action movie- when two bosses of two gangs, clans or countries fight- two big dogs, they allow all their troops to clean out each other- and clean each others best- before taking on each other. thats what this is like- and to that- i dont mind the wait- really,. provided they really are the best. who knows- maybe mosely is really the man.

Quite a good perspective on it.
