Pac hda just moved up to welter. He wasn't really proven at the weight. Freddie was hesistant to throw him in there with a big guy like Margo or Mosley at that time.

Explain to me: how was Oscar, Cotto and Hatton cherry picks? Even if you could make a case that Margo and Clottey were cherry picks, those are some of the toughest most avoided welters out there. Freddie just talks a lot.

So if pac fights and beats pbf its a cherry pick cause roach said floyd has lost his legs from his analysis of the pbf/mosley fight?

btw every trainer looks for some kind of advantage. Most of them just don't talk about it on camera.

Also you don't think Floyd fights guys who he's certain he can beat? Baldo, Gatti, Mitchell, Corley, Judah, Hatton. He'll fight them when their "C-class club fighters" but when it came down to a younger/fresher Mosley, and a prime Margarito / Cotto, he ran off into retirement.

Damn people still think Arum would let Pac fight Floyd, but he's clearly ducking Marquez to fight an old man 2 years removed from his last win.

I like how everyone Floyd supposedly ducks at his own weight is promoted by none other than Bobby Arum.

Thats not what Bob Arum said.

The reason Mayweather opted for the buyout rather than waiting for the May 6 result was because the contract had a limited window for the buyout, one that expired before the De La Hoya fight. However, Arum said he would have extended the window if Mayweather had asked. What Arum wouldn't do, he said, was raise the guarantees for other fights outlined in the contract.

"Arum said while Mayweather would have taken the $8 million to fight Margarito, he asked for a $10 million guarantee to fight opponents such as Miguel Cotto and Ricky Hatton, when Arum was only willing to guarantee $7 million.

Arum said Mayweather also asked for $20 million to fight De La Hoya, a fight Arum said he wasn't interested in participating in.

"That's not in the cards," Arum said. "He wants $20 million for the De La Hoya fight? It's not there. Sometimes, my man, you gotta know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em. We'll talk about things down the road."

Exactly. Bob Arum still owes Floyd millions from the Zab Judah and Gatti fight. :hammertime

Yep...it's plain as day. I saw this vid awhile back. People like to use the excuse, that Manny was moving up to WW, and this and that. But, notice, how Freddie DID NOT HESITATE when Cotto was mentioned. Cotto, was at least as dangerous as Mosely or Margarito, at that time, and obviously more dangerous than Floyd, 2 years removed from the sport. But, Cotto was a fight he would "take in a heartbeat". Also, notice how he mentions C/Ws for any fighters he feels would be a threat. But, he just fought ODLH at the WW LIMIT! I picked up on their game awhile ago. Straight bull****. The showcase bouts are entertaining, but, they are not truly meaningful, IMO.
