Freddie Roach fighters and their footwork

Pacquiao may not be a great inside fighter, but he can do it if he needs to. Khan and Pacquiao's greatest assets are their speed, athleticism and quick feet - attributes which are annulled when fighting inside. Roach is working with the material he has and optimizing their strengths - but he can't snap his fingers and turn them into Joe Frazier.

 

yeah he looked very good early, but ****. Idk, I guess Peterson figured him out. You could tell the look in his damenor when he realized Khan sucks up close

from a technical stand point, it sucks

He's got very fast feet though, so he's able to use them well though

 

But how many years has Roach been working with Khan?? Something should had been done about the fact that once his back touches the ropes, he goes into an ineffective shell where he can only take punches and can't counter.

Pac's only saving grace is that he has enough chin and speed that if the attacker keeps pressing the issue (ala Marquez), he can come back and counter, that's not technically infighting.
