Floyd would have gave that 147 Oscar a Gatti like beating as well.

 

To be fair, Mayweather fought DLH at 154 lbs and it was 1 1/2 ago.....

Technically Mayweather was superior to DLH, but that DLH was physically better suited to attack that Mayweather had to reserve his punching opportunities.......thus it made the fight close at least imo.

Imo, had it been Mayweather last weekend instead of Pac at 147 lbs......Mayweather would have put on a showing that would have made his fight with Arturo Gatti seem competitive.

 

On close examination - most definately. De La Hoya did very little actual scoring. Literally almost all of it missed. People who like good defense need to watch the exchanges from that fight in slow motion. Good post.

 

Roach is baiting PBF... it's clear as day.

 

Roach is getting very good at this......he's hyping Hatton for a possible fight with Pac......and at the same time degrading Mayweather so as to lure Mayweather out of retirement and at the same time get Mayweather to start talking smack right back and begin the stage to hype up that fight to the public.

 

And PACMAN at 130 lbs is very different than PACMAN at 147 lbs. And PACMAN started at 106 lbs. He's not expected to carry such power at WW while OSCAR used to play in that division. Stop SWAGGERING GAYWEATHERS and huggers, let's get it on. No alibis please! No ring rust! No more BULL****. :hat

 

The myth came from the fact that one judge was blind, Kaczmarek I believe his name was, and he spoiled the clear Mayweather win by making it SD. That's all you need for the Oscarsexuals to cling to the notion that Oscar actually won the fight. Even weeks after PBF-Oscar some people on ESB were saying Oscar won that fight. Crazy ****, Floyd didn't win all the rounds but it was 9-3 or 8-4 and he was clearly in contol the whole time.

 

That's a stupid logic.

Yeah Freddie we know....we watched the fights.This is just to make Mayweather fight.

 

Not taking anything away from Pac, but the DLH that PBF fought is a bigger and harder version than the one Pac fought IMO.

 

the point is that there are 4 years between Floyd's win over Castillo and Hatton's. Only 1 year between Floyd's win over Oscar and Pacquiao's.

And they are huge.Oscar was nearly 2 years younger against Floyd,but more significantly he probably entered the ring around 164 against him.He was healthy.
Against Pac he was 147 in the ring!Pee wee Herman would have given him a good fight.
Wonderful as Pac is,its a pretty meaningless win for me TBH.

Floyd fought a much different Oscar.
That one was much bigger, stronger and had a full gas tank.
