Some take better shots than others, its genetic.

Khan should keep his chin tucked in and work on it mentally.

I agree that what your born with is mostly all that counts, but i've always been taught that strong legs are useful too. They help your recovery if your put down apparently, and you'll notice that when you take a good your legs, if not strong enought, will collapse underneath you

the head bones connected to the neck bone, the neck bone's connected to the shoulder bone, the shoulder bone's connected to the back bone, the back bone's connected to the hip bone, the hip bone's connected to the leg bone, the leg bones connected to the foot bone!

I think you're right but what they might be trying with Khan is to work on him mentally, trying to rebuild his confidence, using placebo methods such as these.

if they can deaden/weaken the nerves on his chin/head, it has a chance of working becos he wont feel the shots as much, however a knockout is created when the brain hits the skull or when you are hit on the chin, your jaw bone hits some nerve i believe.

One thing he must learn-what he should have already learnt at this stage of his career-is how to roll with a punch. All of Prescott's punches were landing flush because Amir's upper body was too stiff.

When you roll with a punch you have to increase the time the fist of the opponent is in contact with you (gradually slow down opponent's fist with your face in a punch) and increase the surface area of the impact ,to lessen the force at any one point in time.

It is important to lessen the rotational effect of a punch on the cranium,by turning away from a punch or tilting your head,as these shots are liable to knock out a fighter.

everybody is designed differently. the same shots cotto was landing on margo could of ko'd many a welterweight, but not margo. i know fighters in the gym with huge leg and calf muscles, but very weak core muscles, and they go down easily. i have chicken legs, but a strong core and in 10+ yrs of sparring i've been stopped before, but never floored. even in streetfights, i've been tackled down, but never ktfo. am i just lucky? i've had my jaw dislocated several times, nose bled, but never broken, but at worst i have blacked out while still standing vs. a heavyweight tho and i was 130 at the time. i think i got 2 concussions in that one. i just refuse to go down.

This man is correct. Developing neck and trap muscles is the most practical way to improve punch resistance using conventianal methods. When the neck turns to a certain degree it sends signals to the brain that causes the recipient of the blow to lose control of his body including the legs. A stronger neck will obviously be a benefit.

As far as training the chin, well, I think Freddie might be on to something. Its common knowledge that the mind holds great power over the body. Martial artists have been training there minds and bodies to take astounding amounts of punishment with little to no reaction for centuries. But Kahn is no monk, so we will see.

Your "mind" is a product of your brain, so it cannot do that.

The most important thing is a strong set of legs. If you get your foundations of your body built right, its a lot harder for you to go down.

But all in all, if you cant take a punch, you can't take a punch.

The only way to improve you're chin is to literally cover all base's.

Being in great condition helps, as does strong legs, exercising you're neck and general muscle strength help's, as does jaw strengthing exercises, the other way you can improve the beard is getting used to being hit.

If you do all you can i think you can improve the jaw by 20%.
