Im not trying to start a pac vs mayweather here, so please dont, its more a question about how long you feel freddie roach has left as an elite trainer, I dont know his condition well as i have no medical training but his interviews are getting worse to me, i have huge respect for the guy but do you think he will retire before he realises his value is dropping or affecting his fighters? and how much longer do you think he can go, khan is still a young guy who needs guidance, and Freddie has a few promising youngsters at the wild card.. thanks
parkinson's gets worst and i'm not sure how long he's got left. I hope he's able to train more fighters and pass his knowledge to someone else who is worthy.
I wonder who is going to be his successor? Eddie Futch had a lot but Roach seemed to be the one that stands out the most. When Roach passes on so will Wildcard Gym.
That one-eyed homeless guy who cleans the floors, writes notes on little bits of paper, and files them in a clear plastic bag.
The question to go with how long, is how many? It seems that very time a fighter shows any promise the next thing you hear is that he's off to Wildcard to train with Freddie Roach. I thought he must have the biggest boxing gym in the entire world. But having seen vids, it's not that big after all.
He takes care of himself so I think he hi some good years left in him. However at some point in time the parkinsons is going to take over and ho won't be able to do all the things he dose now. He should be able to give advise but not all the physical demands of being a boxing trainer.
He will be able to give advice for a long long time, but on things like pad work i simply could not answer the question. But we all know he always comes with a plan A-z, so he is probably already training people to take over when he can no longer train his boxers 100% Even though i am a Mayweather fan i must say i respect what Roach does in picking out opponents patterns and weaknesses, as well as matching his fighters to the fight opponent. He will be missed when he stops.
yes i respect the guy so much, i would like to think he is training somebody to take over, as in recent times there isnt a guy to touch him,
True, if you stop moving you wouldnt be able to start again, and when he is on the pads he still looks good, good point
