So if he's a better WW than Floyd, then why can't he fight him at WW?

141-147 is welter weight. 147 is the limit. 145 seems fair to me. Again for me this fight is not about the weight. Floyd retired and came back to fight a blown up 135er so he ant fought no one at 147 for 2 years and when he did it was a blown up 140er.

You guys think iam a Floyd hater, but iam a fan of his, but iam Pacman's fan also.

If the Manny-Floyd fight does happen i give Floyd a win via Points.

UHm yea he is, watch the post fight interview, when Manny was asked if he would go up 2 154 to "chop down bigger trees", he replied no 147 is his walk around weight.

Why dont we say Floyd been beating bigger men his whole career? He didnt start @ 147. Why dont people put that much more emphasis on Floyd when he fights?
But when Pac fights its always a David and Goliath situation?

This is short-sighted, as I've already explained on page 9. Since you followed Paul's linear post, it seems you should have read page 9. So why didn't you respond to any of it? You're just making the same argument that has already been debunked. Quickly, I will debunk it again for you because I wish to aid you in your quest for clear-headed thinking, free of propaganda. Remember: Just because Floyd says something, doesn't mean you have to simply repeat it as if you were just the ****** he was hoping for. It's ok to think for yourself and be objective.

Pac is fighting out of his weight class on the grounds that he is simply too good for his weight class. He is kicking top 3 peoples asses (Cotto) in the weight class ahead of him and this makes him the most sensational fighter in the sport. Only a fool would argue that Manny has the advantage by fighting AHEAD of his weight class. He's fighting these guys at a big weight disadvantage. Keep that in mind as well as the fact that a Welter Weight is any fight over 140 and less than 147. A catchweight of 145 is Welter Weight. I could make my whole argument center on this, but will not because definition-based arguments (appeal to authority) are very weak for our purposes (here note that YOUR entire argument is definition-based) . What should be important to fair-minded people (as opposed to those who wish to give Floyd blow jobs) is simply that the fight be at a fair weight. Your statement "Why have weight classes?" is an interesting one. It could possibly make sense if Floyd had a title, but he does not. Since he does not, try answering your own question. Would your argument that this fight be more fair at 147 than 145 make any sense at all if we did not have weight classes? Of course not, since at 147 Manny will rehydrate a mere two pounds and Floyd will come in at 155-157. Now, the fight might still be competitive because Manny is THAT DAMN GOOD. :yep However, for you to argue 147, you are essentially arguing: "Floyd needs a handicap match against Manny because it's not fair that Manny is such a rare sensation with all those skills and Floyd isn't!"

Now if that's how you wanna argue it, I wouldn't necessarily disagree. :smoke

I will go read page 9. However, Im not arguing for anything. There is a reason we have weight classes....and it has nothing to do with Roach Floyd(SR orJR), or Arum either make the weight or get out period it is not up for debate, argument, or discussion.

I don't care how much Manny, Floyd or any fighter rehydrates as long as the fighter makes the limit come weigh-in. Once again if you dont want to compete with guys who might re-hydrate to 151-155 or even 160 stay the **** out of the division period. And nothing on Page 9 will make it ok for a "champion" who will not defend his belt at the division limit.:-(

If Mayweather wants the bigger share
and Roach wants it at 145

why doesnt roach compensate some money to get it at 145 and Mayweather agree and gets what he wants and then Mayweather can somehow come in at 147 like he did against marquez
