Roach is making his fighter look like a *****. Manny just destroyed Cotto, it's pretty clear that he can take on big WWs. If he thinks Mayweather is less of challenge than Cotto (he says Manny would knock him out quicker), why not have it at 147 so there are no excuses? This better be a cheap negotiation ploy and nothing more.

Any more Manny fights at welterweight should be at 147, hes proven that he could bang with the big guys now. There shouldn't even be an argument about this. If anyone has train or fought before, 2 pounds mean a lot esp. when you don't have any place to lose it from. Instead forcing your body to do things that would affect you on fight night.

So 145 is the new WW limit. Maybe they should movce up and fight at 148 for a light middleweight title. If pacs defending his WW belt then it shud be a WW fight and not a catchweight.

Daaaaamn so 9lbs makes a hell of a difference b/c that's how much less PBF weighed than Costillo both fights.

6 months ago, Pacquiao weighed in at 138, having had a meal on the day of the weigh-in.

He would definately make 135. To make 130 he would have to really be seriously drained. To make 135 its about 13 pounds, which fighters do all the time.

Roach said the perfect amount is 10lbs, which for Pac makes him 138.

Roach wants to see his fighter win, which is understandable, but the weight is not gonna matter. Manny has never fought no one even close to Floyd style, Roach knows this. This is why he has been stated saying how hard this fight would be to prepare Manny for. Manny will not beat him by boxing, he's gonna have to pressure him like many fighters before, and we all seen the out come to those bouts. The ability to give punishment and not receive takes skill, skill that Manny does not natarually have and can not be taught in a matter of six months.

ohhh i quoted you b/c you said that 2lbs means a lot and to show the mayweather haters that is one of the reason FMJ is tthe man b/c he walked in the ring 9lbs less than Castillo both fights and won!! Weight matters but it doesn't if you are skilled, pac and floyd proved this b4...its just one gets more credit than the other!!!

Floyd should be able to make 145, a pound less than his last fight, but that's not the point. Roach needs to drop this catch weight bull****. He's really getting on my nerves, with his contradictions and ****.

Crazy shite. 145 ain't happening. Floyd won't accept it. This shite is getting more ridiculous by the day. Manny creamed Cotto. This catchweight thing by Roach is total bs.

I beg to differ, Mayweathers situation is different such as lets say DLH. Weighing in a weight were you feel comfortable and healthy and have no worries, is very different than being dehydrated just to make weight hurting you in many important aspects, once you step in the ring no matter how skillful you are. These situation are very different. Mayweather is one of the most skillful fighters out there, but smarter than anyone else in every aspect of boxing. Why do you think he didn't even bother making weight against the Marquez fight. That's the big difference.

i'm confused is the advantage to the heavier guy or the lighter guy? Me personally i say **** a catch weight and just weigh between 140-147(if welterweight bout) and fight!
