Hes a WW champ for christs sake, he should defend it at 147. Pac can come in at 145 if he wants but let Floyd come in on WW limit. Its not like he gains much weight before a fight anyways.

I agree. He is great for the sport, and fun to watch. He is a heck of a fighter. He is getting lots of praise now, but I think if he keeps up these weight-draining fights and catch weight fights, it would hurt his legacy after he retires.

He says he wants pbf to come in heavier but he wants the extra cash for it, penalties, clearly states he's doinbut to protect manny in negotiations.

So we have a WW champ, who's ranked as the no.1 WW by Ring, asking another WW to fight him for his WW belt at a catchweight. And according to you, it's being done to strong arm a couple of million extra bucks in a fight that will earn Pac probably over $30 mill. Why is it that Mayweather is the one who's always accused of being difficult to negotiate with and making crazy demands?

This is stupid. I dont think Cottos title should have been at stake for a fight at catchweight anyway. But how pathetic of Roach to expect to defend it at 145 aswell. Mayweather should stand firm and fight Mosley instead if they wont fight for the welterweight title at welterweight.

You guys have been saying for years that hes not a natural welter, based on that he shouldnt have any problems fighting at 145 .

Find me a post where I said Floyd is not a true WW. Find me a post where I advocate Floyd fighting other Welters at a catchweight. Floyd is a small Welter, so is Pac. However, that doesn't mean they need to fight other Welters at a catchweight. It makes no sense for Pac to fight Mayweather at a catchweight, none whatsoever.

What does that have to do with me? Why should my own opinion be invalidated becasue some other people who happen to a fan of the same fighter as me, hold a contradictory opinion?

145 is bull**** ! Pac has had his last few fights at catchfights and that's to the disadvantage of the other fighter. There's no way Mayweather fights him at 145, if the fight happens it will happen at 147, Roach and Pacquiao cant bully Mayweather into a carch-weight fight.

Who said that this is for the WW championship? Pacquiao is also a Jr. WW champ, can he ask Floyd to fight him at 140?

This fight is for the P4P #1 and fighter of the decade titles and it so happens that Floyd weigh-in at 146 last time and Pacquiao at 144 last weigh-in so 145 is the fair and most logical weight if the 2 boxers will fight next. If Floyd wants to weigh-in at 146 or 147, he can do so but he has to pay penalties like how he screw the weigh-in in his JMM fight.
