7 time Trainer of the year. And during his entire training career he has been suffering with Parkinsons. Despite this hinderance, he faced adversity and became the best. Remarkable man, remarkable story.
Who was fighter of the decade 2000-2010? I think your reading comprehension leaves much to be desired. I wasn't suggesting Roach is better. He's just today's equivalent. If he isn't, who is?
Boxing politics was the reason he got those trainer of the year awards. In terms of real quality training, he lacks behind Steward, Mayweather, Mayweather. :thumbsup
Teddy's trainer of the year awards are about as legitimate as Pacquiao's fighter of the decade award. It's all popularity contest.
Who should have been fighter of the decade if not Pac? But lets not stray too far from the topic at hand. Roach is a great man and a great trainer. A hugely impressive resume at hand. His closest rival is Robert Garcia who is largely overrated and only really trains Rios. Eduardo trains his brother, so he can't even claim Mikey. I'd say Joel Diaz is a better trainer. As for Mayweather Sr... need we even mention him? atsch:rofl
Fighter of the era = Floyd Mayweather, Jr And history will remember it as such. But let's get back to the topic at hand. Surely you don't even he deserves all those awards. It's boxing politics.
Remarkable guy, no doubt. Makes one wonder how long he can keep his schedule before his health gets the better of him?
He has definitely shown a decline in his speech and posture, unfortunately over the past few years. I think so long as Freddie can communicate he'll be an asset to anybodies training camp.
