Roach seems like he has to deal with a lot with Chavez Sr. and his home dynamic with Jr., but the tension seems to bring them together somewhat too.

I think Chavez has some legitimate **** he teaches his son that simply isn't in Freddie's wheelhouse as a fighter nor a trainer, so Freddie respects the hell out of what he is saying and trying to learn from him as well as impart his own **** into the gameplan.

What is clear is that Freddie and Chavez Sr. both think Jr is blowing it by skipping camp.

They make it sound like he's working at home with his dad. Which could explain the tighter inside game, Chavez Sr. has always had a hand in his development, but Roach being trained by Eddie Futch should know a thing or two about it, regardless of how Khan and Pacquiao fight.

This sounds fine then. He's been with his dad all his life, so that inside fighting swarmer style is better for him than that mid-range puncher stuff. I could totally see him regressing if drastic stylistic changes were tried ala Hatton

Yup they've made the right choice. They added a bit of mid-range boxing like against Manfredo Jr., but they've stuck with the pressure-fighting emphasis.

The audio is bad and Freddie mumbles on that clip. I can't understand what he's saying. Is there a transcript somewhere? I web searched but had no luck.

Missing days with Freddie does not mean missing training , im sure with the improvements he has shown means that he is getting it somewhere.

Why worry about getting weight off in the gym when you can get in off in the toilet?
