    From boxing scene..

“I like to be a matchmaker in my head – and the best fight in the world is [Vasyl] Lomachenko against [Guillermo] Rigondeaux. You’ve got one guy who has won 200 fights in a row and the other guy who has a record which is like 500-1. Rigondeaux is the best defensive fighter in the world and he would be up against a very sharp offensive fighter. If I was a matchmaker that’s the fight I would make. I’m not sure who wins. I think Lomachenko might hit too hard,” Roach said.

“But ‘Rigo’ is a master and he also hits hard… I’d love to have him [back] because he’s a great fighter. That would be the greatest fight out there.”
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Freddie Roach obviously thinks Lomachenko is every bit as good as we're saying he is, because remember what he said of Rigondeaux:
'Probably the greatest talent I've ever seen'.

I don't think that there'd ever be a fight in history with the talent those two have.

Those two are by far the best Boxers on the planet.

Agreed, but Floyd is above both for now

I agree. I think they're both 1 and 2 in the sport, even with Mayweather and Pacquiao around.

    He really isn't.

Loma and Rigo are streets ahead of him.

I like both, but Lomachenko is too big for a 40 year old bantamweight.

I'm content with both fighting at their current division for the foreseeable future.

Lomachenko needs to beat more than 1 top 10 ranked featherweight for me to fancy any bout with him on the level of a "super fight." He needs to get more relevant victories and Rigondeaux needs to get at least a notable win here in 2015 for sure. I like Rigo, but the Donaire bout was a while back now and he certainly hasn't followed it up with great opposition. I understand it isn't his fault. But it is what it is.

I'd rather see Rigondeaux vs. Frampton and Lomachenko vs. Walters, for example.

If you listed out their combined top 10 victories, you'd puke with how much this fight gets dreamed of and worshiped over compared to others equally compelling.

I believe that the fight will be painful to watch though. I don't think they match style wise for even a mildly entertaining fight.

It is the best fight out there. I think you have to be out of your mind if you don't want it to happen, Walters vs Loma can and will happen any time, this is a chance to see the two best amateurs ever fight, if it doesn't happen now, it probably never will.

I'll say this, Rigondeaux doesn't bring out great offense unless he has to. If you force it, he'll show you how great he can be. Don't underrate his power vs the bigger Lomachenko, whatever you do.

By the way, his knockdowns vs Amagasa and general performance were as a result of him trying to make it more of a fight, rather than 100% strictly his own specialised game. I can't believe no one realised this.

This HAS TO happen. I must laugh, tho, at the notion that Rigo is better defensively than PBF.

Rigo is a devastating puncher, the biggest reason why some of his opponents survive is that after they feel his power, it kills their workrate and thus Rigo has less opportunity to counter.

Check out that body shot he did against Casey, brutal.

Those would be good fights for 2015, then they can clash in 2016.

Yeah exactly. They want to survive after feeling his power. Rigo's power is truly devastating and an under-appreciated aspect of his game.

Rigo is a better all-around Boxer.

Floyd is really limited these days. Potshots, no combos - his "toolbox" is running on reserves right now.

Rigo is much more well rounded.
