Freddie Roach: Manny Pacquiao Will Knock Out Shane Mosley

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by cuco10701, Feb 13, 2011.

  1. Some of you guys just read way too deep into fighters' and trainers' hype talk... its just hype talk...

Example: B-Hop predicts a KO before every one of his fights, despite not actually scoring one in the past 9+ years...

I see where your coming from , but from whats available he'l have to do. Mosely is still faster and a better boxer than margarito clottey. Did mosley say he overtrained for the Fmj fight? Berto is still too green imo. I would have preferred the pac man to shut marquez up while hes youngiish, And I think Marquez deserves another big pay day before he goes.

Fmj not being in the scene at all doesnt help, what else can the pac man feast on?

Pac shouldnt have moved to showtime, that is going to kill the Floyd vs Manny fight, perhaps they know what they are doing (staying the **** away from a man who can beat that ass)

Mosley may have been over trained but its not like he got any younger neither. if Manny looks anything less than what Floyd looked, he doesnt deserve a fight with Floyd.

If May wants to get the fight done, being on showtime will not be a roadblock... I want to wait and see how showtime handle this fight. I think It may be a good thing for boxing. Maybe competition by the networks may be a good thing for boxing and its boxers..

Big call on manny not deserving a fight with fmj, Mannys been entertaining fans and dominating well above his weight for years (Boxer of the decade etc..). Manny has look better against common opponents dlh, hatton, and then schooled cotto, clottey and beat up the man in your avatar, I think the pacman will respect mosely's power and speed like he respected margaritos power. PAc by beatdown

I don't mean to be critical, but that's kind of like saying Hagler didn't deserve a shot at Hearns because Duran went the distance with him and almost won on the judges score cards and Hearns KOd him in 2 EASY. Pac has a style that is way better suited for fighting Floyd than Shane, but he will still probably beat Shane fairly easily, I hope.

Mosley will be tough for Pac early, but if he doesn't land something big and hurt Pac prior to the 6th, the second half of the fight could get ugly. I don't see a stopage, but I think Mosley will clearly lose. Assuming SSM is able to land something early and cause Pac to be hesitant, then i could see the fight being more competitive, but SSM would have to get something early and then have the conditioning to sustain it. I give him a slight chance on his power, a slight bump based on Pac's suspect defense, but overall this should be a relatively easy fight for Manny.

As all others say, This Is Boxing! **** happens in a fight where you get knocked the ****ed out anytime. Pacquiao can be ktfo by a powerful mosley, but pac's timing and controlled aggresiveness, and better countering (yes *****s, pac has underrated counter), mosley would be having hell in less than 12 rounds.

Shane will be outworked, if he doesn't end the fight early. He may even get stopped--as in ref or corner stoppage--due to his fleeting stamina. But, I seriously doubt he gets KTFO. Manny will have to chip away at that granite chin, in order to crack it...and 12 rounds is not enough time, IMO.
