If he was truthful he would be saying Khan has no meaningful future in the game but I can make some $$$ out of him while he retains some popularity.

I did catch some of it, it was on talksport so maybe a link on there.

    www.talksport.net

He was saying he thinks khan can still do something but he has a lot of adjustments to make. He said in his last fight he thought Khan rushed in like a puncher and he isn't, when he throws his big right he is woefully open to the counter right as he moves all his body in with the shot with very little shoulder movement thus leaving him open to a prescott style ko everytime.

Just checked and it isn't on there yet, however, the interviews they had on this morning show are so I think it will appear tommorow maybe.

This lack of continuity in trainers isn't doing Khan any favours. If Roach trains him Khan should base himself over there. Also I hope Roach is committed enough to ensure he is in Khan's corner come fight nights so there is no repeat of the Arthur v Gomez scenario....

what was the name of that Olympian a few years back.

    Either a Amercian or Mexican.

Anyway he was a Olympic star and he turned pro and he had a signing on fee of something like a $1 million before he ever threw a punch

and he was tipped to be the next big star in boxing - a future World Champion pound for pound fighter

but he was young and foolish and spoilt

    the money ruined him

he blew most of the money in no time

    new super car

    partying

    girls

    junk food

    booze

    maybe drugs

and he lost and lost his way

all the hype and he had success before he had earned it like Khan

this fighter fought in the 2000 Olmypics I think and turned pro around that time

but come 2002 / 2003 his career was coming apart as he lost to a journeyman and lost his way

Anyone know his name and what happened to the remainder of his career

    is he still fighting

    Bonejau or something like that

I belive that Amir is now based at his (Roach's) gym in the States

"The 21-year-old Khan was continuing to work last night at Roach's Wild Card gym in Los Angeles and the trainer says he will work with the British fighter in the lead-up to his comeback bout in December"

Looks like he may now be taking the right steps to show his determination to try and suceed i.e. base himself for a significant period (6 plus weeks) outside of his comfort zone of Bolton...

Whilst I rate Roach very highly, who couldnt since he trains Pacman. But unless he can arrange for Khan to get a chin transplant whilst he is in the states, he aint got any chance. Roach is just saying the right things cause he's on the pay wagon now! They do some great surgery over there, but I aint heard of that one yet, maybies they will let him wear a crash helmet:lol:

Yes, Williams. I think he got somehtign like £1m for turning pro and just went and screwed everything up. In jail now, long stretch for drugs if memory serves.
