Freddie is letting the hype get to his head, he isn't as great a trainer as he thinks he is.

Exactly. Roach never says much good about Oscar. There's an issue there between them both.
Oscar's a better boxer than Pac anyway.

Watched the whole interview. Roach was all class. Sometimes ESB is like a bunch of catty women looking for something to b*tch about.

Oscar's always had problems with trainers, he knew what he wanted to do and didn't care for major changes to his game. imho he was right, when he started trying to use the Mayweather shoulder roll it wasn't good for him. He was an iron jawed left hooker/jabber, one of the best. Trying to turn into a defensive type cutie was stupid, and trying to make him a two fisted tornado like Manny would be just as stupid.

I dont buy that. Roach didnt work with him untill the end of his career. By then Oscar had lost a lot of what made him great due to age and inactivity, and was trying to get it back. It didnt come to him naturally anymore like it had earlier in his career. He was unsure of himself. But Oscar was more skilled than Pacquiao, Kahn, and most of Roachs fighters.

There you go. DLH did well in using his reach advantage. To go with that reach advantage he relied alot on his quickness and speed.

That basically was DLH in a nutshell, his overall boxing ability was overrated. He did not have improvisational skills that allowed him to adapt and change the gameplan mid fight.

DLH did well with what he had, but he was not some great boxer which is what Roach is alluding to DLH not being able to pick new teachings up and implementing them to the task at hand.

Though DLH was drained and well past prime for Pacquiao. During training camp Nacho worked with DLH on releasing his right hand over Pacquiao's left. Once Pacquiao started bouncing left hands off of DLH's dome, what was worked on during training camp all went out the window and DLH became a stationary head hunter incapablle of implementing a gameplan other than the normal one he had always employed.

    No improvisational skills!

Maybe because he couldn't understand what Roach was saying.

And **** you if you get offended.
