He may hit harder than him for his respective weight class, but over all Oscars power VS Mannys power ? Dont think so

Dela Hoya's power at this stage of his career I think is a little over rated. I realize that power is an attribute that takes longer to fade other others however he hasn't displayed much of it in his last 2 fights which were both against 2 smaller fighters. Mayweather and Forbes are in fact much slicker than Pac and didn't take many clean shots from Oscar but when they did they both handled his power pretty well.

With all that said, I still believe Oscar has more power than Pac but I don't see power to be definitive and overwhelming advantage that many seem to believe.

    Thx for the vid. :good

Roach is doing his part, with GBP's complete support to promote the fight. Manny's English is terrible, and these 24/7 things need a lot of trash talking. That is all this stuff is.

Roach saying those things while oscar saying ""I don't think weight is going to be a problem for anybody. I think the fact that I'm 35 and the fact that he's fast and strong and young and full of energy, I think it's going to balance out. It kind of evens the field,". makes me think that these two are in cahoot to make the fight looks competitive. I still believe that hoya will beat the hell out of pac this december and all these news coming out of the media from both camps are all hype.

assuming pac hits harder than hoya...i still think it wont bother oscar at all...

question is can pac take hoyas "inferior" punching power?...

I used to like roach but he's increasingly coming out with stuff that don't wash.

well de la hoya's power has to be a bit diminished as his speed/reflexes decline a little. power is a function of speed and mass obviously. if pac weighs close to de lahoya and he carries his speed then presumably their respective power will probably be pretty close. also, de la hoya's inability to really dent forbes should be evidence that de la hoya's power ain't what it was

Not even close. If you have seen Oscar fight at 135... this question would be silly to you. He used to completely obliterate top comp in a couple rounds. He would just touch guys on their chins with his left hook and they would go limp.
