The more terrible the sanctioning bodies become the more value people will add in the ring titles and ranking.

I disagree, The Ring belt merely adds some post-hoc legitimacy to a particular fight or fighter. It rarely actually facilitates fights getting made. Sturm is a key example of this; there's been a Ring beltholder in his division since 2001 and he's never demonstrated the slightest bit of interest in it.

donaire tried to make a fight with moreno, pascal and hopkins fought, segura and calderon. Granted there are a few divisions where there is no interest but for the big names they try to make it happen.

also bradley v alexander was almost made except for the money issue.

Those were fights where The Ring belt was or could have been on the line, but their occurrence or non-occurrence had nothing to do with The Ring belt itself. Moreno was the next-best available bantamweight for Donaire since the rest were stuck in a tournament (and with domestic promoters that were rivals with Top Rank). Hopkins fought Pascal because it was clearly the best money available to him at light heavyweight. Segura and Calderon had as much to do with unifying two ABC belts as it did with The Ring belt. Bradley and Alexander was likewise a natural unification in the division; the presence or absence of The Ring belt had no effect on the likelihood of it ever being made.

The ABCs have a much greater influence on what fights do or do not get made, as unfortunate as that may be.

I would not care, but there is a lineal champ who won and defended the belt fair and square, and it was taken from him unjustly and given to a fighter who is nowhere near his level of talent, just because he has a name.

Donaire actually said I want the Ring belt, try to make a fight with moreno, it just didn't happen to promoter issues. I don't think the Ring has as much influence now as an ABC belt but I think its going to become more of a signifigance now, you will see more fights happening to determine an undisputed champion.

Since when did Roach care about what any governing body says??

I hope the fight gets made too. The kid is overrated as hell and cocky. He is also very flawed. Canelo knocks this kid out in the middle rounds. Hell Roman just gave him hell and he is half the fighter Canelo is.

Why doesnt Roach mention how Chavez is not giving Martinez or Rubio a shot??

Do you seriously look for just ANYTHING to ***** about? :patsch

Martinez vs. Chavez jr is NOT going to happen this year. Get over it. I'm sure they know that too. No way is Jr ready for Martinez and will NOt be put in the ring by him.
