Real boxing fans dont give a **** about PPV Numbers they just want to see a good fight and people who thinks a good fight is only when its a war all blood they are just casual fans, i am not saying those fights are not good they are great but tactical chess fights are also good, you just have to have more knowledge about the sport to appreciate these kind of fights, real boxing fans dont want any fight to fail because it would be a bad beat for the sport so people please stop wanting to fail jmm/fmj or pac/cotto i cant why any real boxing fan would love to see one of these 2 fights fail, its just a shame !!!

Not that we care about PPVs. People here are correlating PPVs to a fighter's popularity and his share on the purse. It's a topic of discussion where people compare and put down a fighter without taking into account the economic situation of the times. Surely as have been discussed and written in many forums, recession affects people's behavior in disposing their meager income.

As a former prize fighter and currently the most sought after trainer in boxing today, Roach is entitled to his opinion. With UFC on the same fight date and lots of fans saying this bout is a mismatch, his assessment about the PPV for the FMJ/JMM bout might be true. Remains to be seen, I guess.

I get you and I dont blame those people, the ones I dislike are the ones wanting and sharing for a fight to fail, those are not real boxing fans and you know there is people here on ESB who wants to fail jmm/pbf and other people sharing to fail pac/cotto, those are not real fans and its a shame !!!

You have to consider that the level of promotion organized by GBP
    A stronger financial backing Tecate,
    HBO 24/7
    WWE
    Ring Magazine etc
    The undercard looks strong
the weekend of Mexican Independence day works to its advantage
PBF gets more media attention than any other fighter including PAC

If it gets 700,000-750,000 I would call it a success....

If it gets around 500,000 ok, anything below that is considered a flop IMO

I think it will do, 700,000 buys

You have to be delusional to think that pbf-jmm is going to outsell pac-cotto in ppv numbers. And Roach is right, one VERY defensive fighter vs. a PURE Counter puncher. My 2 year old son could figure out how this is going to be. Gimme a break.

If this boxing site is any indication of how well the fight will sell on PPV, just look at the list of hot topic threads on this site and others.......its litered with Marquez-Mayweather threads......and the *******s are the core group interested in talking Marquez-Mayweather.....everyone of those *******s will buy the PPV!:deal

The first 24/7 has been shown, boxing sites are talking about it......Marquez is looking like a Welter, and this matchup will be a sucess in PPV sales!:yep

Funny how those that are saying the fight will bomb, are exactly the ones that cant keep away from a JMM-Mayweather thread!:lol::lol:

I don't think so... that's only your wild imagination... (just replace Klitschko-Haye with Sept. 26 Klitschko-Arreola)

Which do you prefer to watch/buy, Klitschko-Haye or PBF-JMM fight?

    September 12 Klitschko-Haye
