I'm not 100% positive yet but I believe it is. They don't really have may other intriguing bouts for the undercard now. Quillins a better fighter all around but jason is never in a dull fight. He should be calling me tonight or tomorrow so Ill find out for sure.

he got enough fights under his belt, Rubio next, then throw him in there with Bute.. or one of the former Super 6 contestants.. I can see people avoiding him because of his percived green ness.. But I think he is ready...

I like the progress he's been making, and I'm glad he's back fighting and developing. I thought he'd dropped off the boxing planet for awhile, and he really needs to stay active to keep improving. Because he didn't do much amateur work, that's even more important. He needs to be putting in at least 4 fights per year for the next couple of years to catch up on the experience he still doesn't have.

Fighting twice a year isn't going to cut it. Not for a guy playing catch up, especially not if he's targeting Martinez, who has a superb combination of athleticism, skills, and experience. Over the past 2 years, Sergio's had more fights than Quillin despite already having a significant edge in the experience department. That's got to turn around if he wants to be anything more than another Martinez KO victim- this is his third fight in 2011 coming up, so maybe it finally is.

 

You guys should check your racism at the door before you log in.

 

Might be a reference to his Cuban origins.
