Roach should just retire. Advising his fighters to make their opponent come in at lower weight than usual. And cotto might have been here a long time but it don't give him the right to use catch weight fight after fight. I don't see mayweather asking for catch weigh for every fight. This is really sad for the sport

Roch wants all the advantages he can get(as do many others) and he also has a lot of excuses(as do many others).

No question he's behind so many of them; it's mind boggling. Some of his fighters best wins are at catch weights.

Don't blame Freddie Roach for Cotto's prima donna antics. He's been acting that way since Margarito beat the cojones out of him LEGITIMATELY. Whats he done since then but :|:| & moan & blame everyone but himself. Freddie picked up a shot Cotto got him a title shot against a crippled Martinez & he's now supposed to be the linear 160 champ ROFLMAO
Its another example of what a great trainer Freddie is Freddie knows to put Cotto in with GGG would be the end of Cotto's career Cotto hasn't the cojones to fight GGG anyway. He thinks Geale is easy pickings I hope he gets a shock & geale exposes Cotto for the fraud he now is:hi::hi:

Mayweather has TWO catchweights. Pacquiao has about FIVE off the top of my head. Cotto will only fight at a catch weight in the middleweight division. :patsch

Bro, learn before you speak and look stupid.

Roach is ****ed. His parkinsons and other ailments really seem to be affecting him now. He seems and looks disabled. I like Freddie Roach, great trainer but how long till his problems seriously hinder a fighter who's putting their life on the line.

    Very sad.

This. He should call it a career, he doesn't look good at all.

pac has bigger ***** for fighting guys bigger than him so they did with catch weights to even the playing field and the fight resulted in war unlike the one who demanded a catch weight to a smaller man and did not even honor it. see, you just try to hide facts of the fights. tbe fights even very defensive in his catch weights when he has all the advantages hence not much fight exchanges but pot shots until the final bell.

Roach does love his catchweight fights. Catchweight fights are ok if it is on a level playing field, but it felt like the catchweight fights that Pac was in were solely to give him the advantage.

:|:|:| At least Floyd won in a NON-TITLE fight. When Excusequiao came in overweight for a TITLE fight, he got KTFO by Torrecampo. Bumquiao didn't even offer compensation.

I love how two complete ****ing morons in this thread are trying to claim that Mayweather "demanded" or "insisted on" a catchweight against Marquez. Get your facts straight, morons.

If he had all the advantages over Canelo because of a 152 pound catchweight...? That isn't possible. It would have been at 147 if that were the case. Or at least closer to 147 than 154.

    154 - 152 = 2
    152 - 147 = 5

^ I know the struggle is real, friend, but there you have it.

You guys seem to hold it against him that he is so dominant. Like somehow getting punched in the face more bolsters higher claims of greatness. I guess that's all you guys have left [shrugs] to cling to, so might as well keep on keepin' on.
