I respect your opinion...though, how do you see him beating Mayweather? Not that I think Mayweather is unbeatable, but I do think it is a very bad style matchup for Shane.

You're asking the guy who has a "sugar shane shall inevitably beat Floyd" thread in the lounge?

    I don't think it is.

A lot of people say Shane has trouble with movement. They point to his struggles with Cotto, and to a lesser extent, with Forrest and Winky.

The Cotto comparisons may have some merit, but the other two are not applicable, IMHO.

With Cotto, I truly believ that Shane fought the wrong fight and that his corner gave shitty advice.

I think that Shane can take the best of what Judah and Oscar did in order to beat Floyd, and I believe Naz will have a top notch strategy for Shane.

I could be wrong, but I am willing to put my reputation on the line in this one. (Not that my reputation i exactly stellar).

all fights between mosley, mayweather, and pac are all tough to call. the way i see it, mayweather will beat mosley via UD. i still think that shane does not like fighting guys faster than him. however, shane will text mayweather's chin like it has never been tested before and if he connects with a flush shot, the game could change.

on topic, no it won't be pac's last fight. they're just saying it as a ploy to make everyone think that pac doesnt care about the winner or mosley-mayweather.

This much is true, and I admit my personal bias towards Shane. Regardless, I honestly believe Shane will beat Floyd (and have believed this for years).

I am not a blind nuthugger who would pick Shane over anyone, though. There are styles that could pose major problems for him, such as Paul Williams. That fight would worry me.

I might be crazy, but I sincerely believe Shane beats Floyd and does so with relative ease. This will surprise a lot of people, but it will not surprise me.

    Agreed.

Also... it will be a boxing tragedy if he retires without facing Mayweather if they both win vs Clottey & Mosely... everything must be done to make this happen.

One problem tho, Mosely says he cant make 143 & we know Roach dont want him at a healthy 147, he already said so & I dont see that **** changing if he gets by Mayweather, do you ?

I do think that Shane's biggest weapon in this fight is his mental resolve and his ability to "show up" in the big fights. If he can walk through Floyd's best shots and continue walking him down without getting discouraged, i think this could effect floyd mentally. Shane's only chance of winning is by applying pressure and eventually knocking him out. Maybe he could land something big in the late rounds, but I think it is highly unlikely.

Mosley, in fact, said he would be willing to go all the way down to 140 to face Pac, but I think Mosley was desperate to land a fight with either Mayweather or Pac.

Now that he landed Mayweather, assuming he beats Floyd, I don't know if he would still be willing to try and make 140.

However, your question was 143--and yeah, I think you're correct and I see your point.

Down the line twenty years from now, he will still be higher than Mayweather, or the three mexicans.

Just as people completely forgot that Duran had a "no mas" against SRL, how much more for an allegation without proof.

Roach may just be trying to persuade us to watch his ward's fight with Clottey..

Logically it cannot be any more 'tarnished' than any other boxer who has retired without "demonstrating unequivocally that he is (and has been) completely free of PEDs of any kind". And as that is every boxer ever, it wouldn't make any difference in comparative terms.

... and the majority of boxing critics that made him Fighter of the Decade that doesn't believe the myth of A-Side Meth. Go back to smoking pot with the Mayweather brothers, you seem to believe everything those two says.

Roach knows that Pacquiao can't beat Mayweather so retirement is their best option, it leaves people thinking "what if" rather than seeing him retire after being schooled by a boxer that is just far too slick for him.
