How you know 100% sure.. the fight hasn't happened yet.
You are clearly a big Calzaghe fan (don't worry I ike him as well) so maybe you don't completely think neutral.
    That plan is executable mate.

Btw their game plan is waaay more complicated then one sentence. I think their gameplan is like described on one a4 paper.

I root for the dragon, but anything can happen mate, stay realistic.

I am staying realistic, that's my whole point!

Sure, I'm a Calzaghe fan, but please don't confuse that with "fanboy". I've been following boxing for 31 years now. I know a great fighter when I see one.

lol i love how ppl think calzaghe can only fight in one style. he will be the one pressing the action mixing up tactics and confusing hopkins to a wide ud

That is called as throwing his opponent off the rhythm - first you give him some respect, then you throw that respect away and away goes his self-confidence too - at a certain point, he doesn't know what he's doing in there... But I really dislike Freddie b'cause of things such as when he said that he and Hoya would beat Floyd's speed with educated pressure, "timing" ( whatever that means) and the jab and things were completely different. Where the F*** is Bowie Fisher?

That's very true. Don't hurt Calzaghe and expect to get away with it.

How can a 42 year old win the late rounds against someone who still throws 80+ punches in the last two rounds? not just wild either they land.

Hopkins won't be able to run, JC will be after him 1st to 12th

I'm not too worried what Freddie 'joke coach' Roach has to say, it sounds like a terrible plan against a man with unrivalled stamina

It almost sounds like he doesn't mind giving up early rounds. Not wise, because Joe will build up such a lead it will be impossible to pull back, as he won't tire

LOL!!!! I've seen Roach in fight try to urge his man on. It doesn't work. Roach's stragety for Hopkins might be for Hopkins to finish strong. Easy for him to say. He's not in there getting hit. I think Roach is a bit over rated.

The truth is Hopkins is not a volume puncher and Clazaghe has amazin stamina and movement skills.

Didnt Floyd look intimidated by Ricky as well. we all know what happened there. Hopkins eats leftys and he has another one to have his way with.

Floyd looked pretty normal to me. Hatton was laughing most of the time during the build up. Hopkins doesn't look intimidated to me either. Joe's not in his face growling or something, he's just been pretty chilled about the whole thing and he isn't losing his head or being intimidated by Bernard. People read too much into this ****. It's hype. It sells fights.

They've got the right strategy in mind, the only problem is Hopkins cannot employ this over 12 rounds effectively anymore.

Roach is a joke and shouldn't be allowed to speak for Hopkins, neither should Naazim be. If Hops waits for the second part of the fight, it's a shutout for Calzaghe.

I think that Roach was giving instructions to Bernard in the Winky fight and Hops was not paying attention and at some point turns to Roach speaking to himself " Oh Yeah, that is good advice too" he said... Man, Bernard is his own trainer at this point. What does Enzo do anyway? Shouts and boosts up Joe "C'mon you son of a..."?

didnt think he looked intimidated at all. But it gets irritating when people say nonsense like that and you have to call it out once in a while.

Havent seen any of the pressers for this fight but i doubt two guys at this level are intimidated by anything less than God.

I'll be watching this one, sounds like a good strategy if its an active process and he doesnt play the waiting game looking for counters. Active in the pursuit of his counters is a good plan.
