One of the problems is the language barrier between them, how the f... these too people will effectively comunicate(work) with each other?? Guillermo, Johnson speak spanish but no English. Even Roach is not the best comunicator in his own language, add to this his progressing parkinson ...Rigondeaux will also need somebody with character, a rolle model. I remember that not a long time ago he started working together with another Cuban, Juan Carlos Gomez, months before he challenged V. Klitschko, but after a similar love at first sight like history, their cooperation together lasted just a couple of days. Nobody knew what went wrong. Lets see what will happen with Rigondeaux, Johnson ...

Will give Roach a chance to show that Pacquaio isn't a fluke.

I've always thought negatively of Manny Steward because very few of his boxers learnt the entire game beneath him in the way that Pacquaio has learnt beneath Roach, but similar to Enzo Calzaghe with his son Joe, one great fighter doesn't make a great trainer.

When Manny first arrived at Wild Card, he came with his best friend/trainer Buboy Fernandez, who helped translate for him. My guess is that Rigondeaux will have a friend/translator/confidant with him. Whether it will be provided by his promoter or by himself will remain to be seen.

While it seems like Moorer is well on his way to taking the keys to the Cadillac when Freddie's gone, it would also be nice to see an assistant trainer who speaks Spanish to relate to his Latino fighters and cut out the bull**** from shady middlemen should any controversies arise.

Roach's trainer skills a fluke? Can you pass me what you're smoking?

Israel Vasquez didn't win a belt until he entered the doors of Wild Card. His current status on the P4P list is a tribute to Roach's ability.

Same goes for Brian Viloria. Roach's record speaks for itself.

And your comment about Roach having built Pacquiao's boxing knowledge from the ground up is wrong too.

Pacquiao, while having learned a lot from Freddie, had already won a world title at flyweight before having stepped on American soil.

Rigondeaux has had extensive amateur experience with Cuban trainers.

Then you hate on Steward. Learned the entire game? You ever heard of a guy named Thomas Hearns? He fought for Steward since he was an amateur. I would take that as an example of someone who learned the entire game from one man.

I'm sorry but your comment exposes your ignorance of this sport.
