At 140 or 147, Pac will be 146-149 on fight... Salido was 148 on fight night against Lomachenko.

I feel even if Pac were to drop down, the sheer size advantage would be too much for Loma to handle. BUT Loma is an amazing boxer, I will not be surprised if he boxes his way to a UD, but this fight will never happen anway.

hell of a fight if you ask me...I'd put him above Floyd ATG if he takes this fight and if he wins...it'd be hard to argue him not being higher rated than Floyd regardless of his loss to Floyd.

It's should be 140lbs not 135. Pac will be very drained at 135 specially when he is fighting at 147 next week

I think a lot of opinions might change if Loma impresses against Walters. Big "if" though

Roach should focus on Vargas first and foremost. Why is he looking past Vargas? Not a good practice for a coach !

It's simple logic really. Pac is naturally too small for Welterweight. He eats extra amounts to make 147, otherwise he is around 141lbs (he wouldn't need to cut weight to make 140).
He would be able to make 135 fairly easily. He wouldn't even need to do a Terence Crawford-esque weight cut.
A lot of people are picking Vasyl, but Manny at 135 will be more dangerous than Manny at 147, and Vasyl at 135 isn't prime Vasyl. Vasyl's a better boxer, though. It's either Manny KO or Vasyl victory. Manny could only get a decision if he knocks down the small Vasyl multiple times.

Vasyl confirmed he is interested in the fight but would need around a year to bulk up accordingly (he's a small 130lber) - Interview spoken in English

True. I don't see how Manny Pacquiao can even make 135 anymore. 140, probably -- but not 135.

Freddie really does say some silly stuff on occasion.

In addition to those names: According to Arum and Roach, Pacquiao will probably challenge the winner of Kovalev vs Ward at a 170 Catchweight.

Exactly what I was thinking. Loma would go on to shock the world.

Lomachenko was on his bicycle, and outboxed the midget Russel Jr. for 12 rounds easy. Had it been a black boxer who won that way, people would complain that he ran for 12 rounds. Lomachenko got mugged by an old Salido(a scrub able to hang around due to fighting in a thin division). Everyone else Lomachenko has fought was a scrub. I see nothing in Lomachenko that top level guys should have a problem with at a higher weight. Crawford would crunch him, and so would Pacman in my opinion. If Lomachenko handles Walter in an impressive fashion, as opposed to being given a gift decision, I will start giving him his due.
