i disagree. the old(younger) cotto would have been too uncontrolled for mayweather, especially young Floyd. He would have been too open and would have been stopped imo. The things that gave floyd problems with cotto were his jab, control, his high guard and ring iq etc. imo Young cotto was not this strict.

Brains will beat mechanical aggression majority of the time. I say mechanical, because Manny doesn't really think in the ring, he doesn't adapt... it's all mechanical.. very instinctive. He has great muscle memory, like mayweather, but he can't think his way out of a tough fight to make things work. He is completely at the whim of his trainer. You can put it this way, the trainer for manny is the driver and pac is the car. Roach steers him. When roach reaches a problem where he can't see what to do, neither can Manny. We saw this in the Marquez fight, this is one intangible that he lacks. But with mayweather he is both the driver AND the car, lol you can see he is like the knightrider and Roger is merely a passenger.

Mayweather will adapt to whatever Pac is bringing, but pac cant do the same with mweather. To beat a healthy mayweather you have to have more than one game plan and be adaptable. This means since this is not going to happen with manny, Roach is going to have to be on his game, he's going to have to have to be real scientific in the fight because Manny severely lacks in this regard (and Roach didn't do a good job last time out). Manny fights in one way and the only time you see him do anything different is when he plays possum to get a person who is just being purely defensive to attack him with more courage.

emmanuel couldn't even get that kind of volume off because Juan lowered his output. Everyone knows by know that Mayweather is the master of limiting how much other guys will throw.
