"I've thought about Mayweather for a long time now. He's the ultimate opponent. His style does pose some problems because he's very good at what he does. But after seeing Manny with Cotto, Manny showed he takes a punch well. We'll definitely knock Mayweather out. He'll break down. He can't stand up to Manny's pressure. He won't last as long as Cotto.

"Floyd can say what he wants, but I saw Floyd get almost beat by Oscar and when he fought [Jose Luis] Castillo for the first time,"
"I talked to him about Mayweather when we had him in camp with us and he told me Pacquiao is faster and hits way harder than Mayweather," Roach said. "I thought Castillo won their first fight. He put pressure on Mayweather and broke him down. Whatever Floyd gives us, we'll take. Manny will hit him on the arms, the shoulders, wherever he can, and Mayweather will feel it. There's no way Mayweather can win the fight running, and that's what he does best."

"I would love to see Manny knock this guy out and then retire," he said. "There's no place to go after that. We will break Mayweather down. He's a fragile guy. I know he is hard to get to but we will get to him. Manny can match Mayweather's speed and he has better footwork and more balls."

I think PAC wins as well especially if he starts fast. Quite simple really

Win 4 out of the first 6 rounds. TAke a break stay away, let Floyd chase him..lets see floyd do that.

then from the 10 rd on, just give it all hes got 100 power punches a round whether it finds the target or not.

He needs this fight to be mapped out just like Presidential candidates maps out the electoral college

win more rounds than Floyd and not get careless in the middle rounds and finish like an animal that he is.

Honestly, as much as I like Pacquaio...that plan doesn't sound too promising

Freddy is pretty much rambling in these quotes. The part about hitting him in the arms and shoulders has been said by numerous past Mayweather opponenents, including Arutro Gatti.

Didn't JMM's team say that? Didn't work out well for them if i remember correctly. Time to rethink that stragtegy.

Also Mayweather clearly beat ODLH, i don't know what fight the judges were watching.

Well Oscar did come close to beating PBF, but he did so with a good defense and did well on the scorecards in a boring fight... I dont see how that translates to saying PBF would be easy to KO. He aint getting stopped earlier than Cotto he dont get hit like Cotto does.

Ive thought about this strategy but there is one problem.. PBF is a great counter puncher and that tends to get guys to reduce their output. Yeah you can hit him on the arms and elbows all night but you open yourself up to do so and then you get clean counters to the head and body in return. How many head shots does Pac want to take to land a billion shots on Floyd's guard?

And the part about PBF being fragile is just outright wrong. PBF had a very physical fight with Hatton, he showed he is strong mentally and keeps his cool under pressure. As he kept his cool in the Zab fight with all the antics as well. He also has great stamina and with all the wrestling with Hatton wasnt winded in the least and he surprised Hatton by out muscling him on the inside.

The places where Floyd ducks and jukes to get out of shots, I'm thinking they are in swing area of Pac's off angle hooks and uppercuts. Pac seems to cover a lot of surface area when throwing those 6/7 combo flurries. Where will Floyd hide during those?

The thing about Castillo saying Pac is much better... well Castillo was in his prime when he faced Mayweather and he is shot when he sparred Manny who is peaking... So he is more likely to be impressed with Manny at this point.
