Did anyone read what Freddie Roach said about the fight?

    http://www.***********.com/?m=show&id=23541

Pac-man's next fight is "set aside" for March 13th 2010, but not if that fight is against mayweather. According to Roach, Pac-man would need "more time" to prepare for Floyd's style. "It's a different ballgame" he says. LOL. He goes on to say that the Pac-man-Mayweather fight won't be an exciting fight, because Mayweather is always on the move.

Eastsideboxing fans, these statement say to me, that Pac-man will fight Mayweather differently than he has fought any of his other opopnents (hence, the extra time needed to prepare for Mayweather) We will not see the straight forward buzzsaw that mowed down ODLH, Hatton, and Cotto. Furthermore he's conceding that the fight will not be as action packed (which tells me that this fight will be at Mayweather's pace). Advantage Mayweather.

I've said it before and i will say it again. Pac-man's recent success has been a result of flawed fighters. He's good but not Mayweather good, I think Roach knows this. What say you ESB Fans?

Lol always on the move, I like that. Sounds like someone put a lot of time and effort to choose just the right words to describe Mayweathers soporific style of fighting.

You could be right about the advantage part but COMPLETELY WRONG about the success of PAC being due to the "FLAWED" Fighters but EVERY fighter has flaws....even Mayweather. IF PAC beat Floyd the same **** would be spewed about floyd...he was over rated....over the hill, distracted or PAC was on roids. THere is no winning for either of these guys in the eyes of EVERYONE. But the majority understand these are two great fighters who deserve respect! I'm leaning towards Floyd by very close decision. Although PAC could win and I wouldn't be surprised one bit.

btw Mayweather has flaws too. He doesn't throw a lot of punches and if you throw a lot of punches it usually causes him to make mistakes. He falls for faints and hes weak to the jab. The same style Calzaghe used to beat Roy Jones would be what would beat Mayweather. You don't have to punch hard, you just need great endurance and you need to throw 100 punches per round. Mayweather cannot throw 100 punches per round and he certainly cannot take them.

Every fighter is flawed, but Pac's recent success is in part due to the fact that his opponent's flaws play right into Pac's strenghts. Mayweather presents a whole different set of problems. Pac certainly has the talent to pull it off. However, he won't be able to do so using the same strategy he's used recently.

Yes I agree. However it shouldn't be over looked that they were all very good fighters. We got a glimps of it with Hatton but the Cotto win eliminates all majour excuses. Pac is a great fighter that much is clear now.

To be frank though I don't think right now either fighter really feels he's fully ready to fight the other. Floyd is quite rusty and hasn't fought a live dog since hatton. That being said he holds most technical advantages and other then power and stamina has not real deficiencies as compared to manny. His defensive skills can take away Pac's power. And I think he knows that if they were to fight right now if he was able to get his conditioning to a level where he can fight 3 minutes a round (as it was when he was fighting at 140) that he have limited all Pac's advantages.

Freddy probably knows Manny's game isn't tight enough to be as affective against Floyd. And he knows that if Floyd comes ready for the fight of his life manny will need more then is in his arsenal right now.
