I know he gets a lot of hate on here but Roach backs up his talk. If you told me after the Ortiz/Maidana fight that Khan would last the 12 full rounds against Maidana you would of gotten the Roger Mayweather treatment from me. Roach is on his way to becoming the GOAT of trainers when he seals the deal of getting another FOTD award to one of his other fighters from his stable. :deal

Khan FOTD? We're one year into the decade. Khan still needs to stay away from boxers with power AND SPEED. His chin is still a huge liabilty. Improving his defense would help too. Roy Jones Jr. at least got his chin exposed way later in his career.

Sorry man, but when he goes up in the division he will be KOed. Khan is weak in the head and I mean his chin and his brain. He's mentally weak.

    Clarify mentally weak.

He used his legs to get himself out of trouble and held when he was hurt. Mentally weak would be trying outbrawl a fighter like Maidana when you are clearly hurt and Khan never did such.

Nah, a mentally weak fighter would have folded. That was the most impressive thing to me was Khan could dig deep and show heart and mental toughness to survive that attack.

Before the fight started he looked scared as hell. He made too many dumb mistakes like staying inside with Maidana and not throwing anything and then he looked mentally defeated towards the end except for the last minute of the 12th round.

Oh cmon bro that has no merit whatsoever for being mentally weak unless he was KO'd Michael Spinks style which he didnt.

Thats not being mentally weak, Khan's defense is emulating Pacquiao's tight high guard. It only looks foolish for him because Khan is a tall fighter and it leaves his body open but it still isnt mentally weak. Mentally weak would of been taking a knee or complaining to the ref all the time.

Yet he survived, didnt quit and made a good showing. Tonight could of easily been reminscent of Taylor/JCC 1 if Khan went all out in the final round.

The only times I did get a sense of mental weakness from Khan was whenever he looked up at the clock to see how much time was left in the round but its still not enough to call him a mentally weak fighter.

Let's not forget Khans still only 24 and has only trained with Roach for 2 years, still a long way to go but the potential is there. How many years has Roach been training Pac? and it's only the last year or two he says Pac is a complete fighter, long way to go for Khan.

Ok I get what you're saying also, but what i mean about the defense is, I'm not really talking about his actual defense, I'm talking about him just squaring up with Maidana in the middle of the fight in the inside and not throwing anything. I was yelling at him to keep moving, but he stayed there and looked good when he ate some uppercuts, but it turned out to be a bad idea later int he fight
