Wish there were more of him on film. This and the Dundee fight made me a believer.

What is your case for apostoli to be higher?

Steele is a bad boy, for sure. Incredible that nobody knows about him today. Mention him in General and you'll get blank looks.

Edit: Just watching that clip again. His handspeed is good. Has a nice snapping jab. His accuracy is what puts him over the top. What an accurate puncher, almost every big shot he throws, lands, and it's clear he's a heavy handed fellow. His reflexes are also good, slips a lot of the incoming. At one point Gus manages to recover his senses and lands a few big ones, which have zero effect. So you can add good chin to that list.

He'd have been fun to watch against some of the modern fighters. I think people would be eating canvas.

That's because they have blank minds.

We should mention that Steele got his sternum fractured against Apostoli in the second fight. And with 135+ fights under his belt and the end very close in sight, I wouldn't classify him as prime.

Apostoli, Risko x 3, Jones x2, Barth, Dundee, Lesnevich, Overlin, Kreiger, Garcia.... that's some list of pelts. Add to that only 5 losses in 140+ fights, 3 of those in his final 6 fights.
