exactly my point, trainers will do anything just to get a win even if he has to speak the truth or some plain bull**** statement.. everybody has his own interpretation..
I find Cotto looks better at 147 than at 140, where he was in trouble against guys that he would handle with ease today.
Dont believe the hype, Cotto is still in his prime, he is only 28. Pac is dangerous as ever, and either man deserves the full credit in victory.
Margarito already showed the master print on how to beat him, constant pressure. Why Roach would say that Manny is not gonna stand in front of him is weird. Outbox Cotto, I have never seen anybody do that. Not even Shane Mosley could do it.
dude Hatton was put on ***** street by Eomon McGee, someone who is way worse than Lazcano. Lazcano is far from being the worst boxer to hurt Hatton. Stop trying to discredit Pac. And saying that Hatton is more dangerous agaisnt Pac as a brawler than as a boxer is not talking about Hatton's deteriorating abilities, but rather his poor strategy.
Roach seems to be getting a little bit addicted to the limelight. He may be partly responsible for Pac's success, but statements like this just shows he wants more media exposure for himself to show how good a trainer he is, at Pac's expense.
You just strenghtened my argument. McGee who? .....and it goes to show that Roach did'nt think highly of any version of Hatton to begin with......and he wa'snt shy about expressing it to the public media.
your argument was that Hatton was on the decline after he lost to Floyd. how did I strengthen that argument? Seems to me like you're willing to jump from one topic to another by any means necessary to take the most credit away from Pac as possible.
Freddie: "Hoya can't pull the trigger" Freddie: "Hatton will be KO'ed inside 3 rounds" Freddie: "Cotto in a decline" I'm not sure how can you bash Freddie for that... .
first of all, thats completely different than saying he was on the decline. So it doesn't strenghten your argument at all. secondly, a fighter can get rocked by nobodies and still be a good fighter. I never thought Hatton was elite, but he did beat Kostya Tszyu with the help of that bull**** ref, and he did go 10 rounds with PBF, and he did KTFO a past-it bloated Castillo in 4 rounds. And he did dominate both Urango who went on to win a title and Paulie Malignaggi who went on to beat Juan Diaz in the eyes of like 90% of people. The guy was the legit lineal champ at 140. Pac is a smaller man and still had him down twice in the first round and shitting himself half dead by the second
Boxing fans are also on the decline...way to many mental midgets posting and not enough students of the game. Fact is fighters such as cotto and pac will have their share of adversities in the ring, its the nature of the beast. Styles truly do make fights and Lazcano could very well buzz and or have moments if matched up with pac and or cotto because boxing is a real and unforgiving sport not some computerized simulation that bases its results on strenghts, weaknesses and calculated stats...like my nemisis bigreg mentioned earlier the fight is fought in the ring. It makes me cringe when I hear fans say stuff like "corley almost ko'd cotto so it shouldn't be much to take him out" using that logic cotto should have turned to dust as soon as randell bailey landed his first right hand square on cottos chin. Lmfao!
