    "Freddie, why did Pac lose?"

"Well Cotto was just the better fighter tonight"

"But you said Cotto was in decline!"

"Well, that was just mind games"

"BS, you banked on it and it didn't work this time!"

*******s: "Cotto was just too big! It wasn't fair, even if Freddie said Cotto was in decline!" "He'd still beat Floyd, and Ali and SRR!"

    "Pac had the wrong socks!"

    :rofl

That is an excellent point, when Pac hangs up his gloves his detractors can validly say "Even his own trainer said De La Hoya was shot, Hatton wasn't on Pac's level and Cotto was a fighter in decline when he fought him."

If he's on the decline why not fight someone who isn't? This is one reason he is looked at as a cherry picker. Roach talks enough to tell on himself.

I am wondering... Does anyone knows if PAC started training already? Cause Cotto has been training for about 2 weeks now. Which means to me that he wants to come into fight VERY well trained.

I think he was making excuses more than anything. There were problems in training camp for the Calzaghe fight; Hopkins was pulling out of sessions early and refusing to spar on certain occasions because he was too tired. I don't think Roach felt comfortable not having his fighter co-operate with him.

do you honestly think roach cares about what people say?.what's more important for trainers is to get a win and cashing out..

with that said, you people figure it out..

Cotto is not the same fighter after the plaster fist facial beatdown Antonio Margarito gave him.....

at least, thats what I think....

regardless, will be a great fight....I hope Cotto wins by a very close decision.....

    /drama bus....chooo chooo

The thing is, Pac haters have a built in excuse no matter who he fights. Mosley's too old, Mayweather's rusty, Cotto's declining...and if he happened to fight Paul Williams or Berto, he'd be accused of going after less accomplished fighters instead of the prior 3.

Then again, that doesn't bother this Pac fan. It's a mark of greatness that people have gone from making excuses for Pac to making excuses for his opponents. Usually they'd at least wait until Pac won to use them, but now he's in the position where people are making excuses for guys before he even beats them.

Well Roach is usually right. Although in a recent interview i saw him say some pretty dumb **** about the super 6

In decline or not though, Pac is too good for Cotto

I watched the Cotto vs Judah fight yesterday. I don't see a decline when I compare that one with the Clottey fight. Unless Roach means from even before that

Floyd, Mosley and JMM are all in decline. Paul Williams is too big while Bradley and Berto aren't nearly as proven as these other guys.

Pac picked the best available. Cotto is in less steep decline than the other top challengers and is also the youngest of the bunch.

Actually, the man to beat at 147 is so good that Mosely don't want none.

And Cotto and Floyd don't want none.

So he's having to put on a few pounds and fight the champ at 160.

You can make that argument but you can't argue that Mosley is not in decline. And lets not forget that Cotto beat Mosley.

I would have loved to see Pac vs Mosley. tbh I would have loved to see Pac vs JMM III above all else. But I will love to see Pac vs Cotto too. I think Pac beats em all anyways.

As far as I'm concerned the 147 championship is vacant. Mosley is #1, Cotto is #2. If Cotto was with GBP and Mosley with Arum, we'd be seeing Pac vs Mosley.
