Apparently, according to Tony Weeks Frederick Lawson was allowed to box Vergil Ortiz with a brain aneurysm - This is what Weeks had to say “What the public didn’t know that prior to the fight they did a brain scan on him,” Weeks said in a now-deleted Facebook post. “t came up that he had an aneurysm, and they did a test again and the same aneurysm came up. Another doctor was brought in and gave him the same examination and he tested negative for the aneurysm, so they cleared him to fight.”

This is a massive problem if true for both Golden Boy and NSAC, there is no way on earth if true that he should have been cleared to box regardless of the tickets being sold, the health of the fighter must come first.

Not sure how Weeks would have been privvy to that information, also if it is true and he did know about it he should have refused to officiate as to not damage his own reputation further if something horrible happened. (ironic that he damaged his reputation anyway)
