2-Tamada coming forward but takes a sweeping counter left hook for his ambition, Ikegami is getting his down now despite being the much slower man, Tamada's work rate is lowering as a result, nice body work from Tamada, and a good straight right, Ikegami looking composed under the pressure but he is taking some clean shots, Ikegami fires back with mixed success, very fun action to finish the round, Ikegami with a huge right hand on the bell! 2-0 Tamada

If round 3 starts as round 2 ended we're gonna get something amazing....

 

3-Ikegami starting fast and he pins Tamada on the ropes, yup round 3 is starting like round 2 finished! ****ing hell we have a tear up, Tamada trying to slip shots on the ropes, Ikegami going hell for leather, Tamada not enjoying this at all, Tamada gets off the ropes and Ikegami tries to catch his breath, body shot from Tamada, Ikegami put a LOOOT into that , a big left from Ikegami, and another, left hook, uppercut, left hook, from Ikegami, Tamada taking them well, Tamada coming forward trying to get Ikegami's respect - not working. BIG Ikegami round! 2-1

 

4-Ikegami again looking to set the tempo early but Tamada just looks so much bigger, stronger and powerful and even when tagged really clean he's not shaken, trading shots back and forth, blood starting to seep from Tamada's nose, Ikegami making good use of a quick jab, Tamada appears to be feeling the pace and marking up, headshots from Ikegami late in the round. 2-2 Ikegami has the momentum

 

5-Tamada trying to come forward and turn things around, Ikegami's lack of power is an issue here and if he had more pepper on his shots he'd be closing in on a stoppage, Tamada taking so much punishment and his face is a mess, body shot from Ikegami and a snappy jab, they begin to trade, nice jabs from both, a stiff Ikegami right and Tamada responds with a jab, Ikegami picking his man off with a jab. 3-2 Ikegami

 

6-Ikegami trying to push Tamada around, no real success there but he's now opening up again and tagging Tamada at will, Tamada struggling with his timing and range, and defense, ...poor kid looks like a lost cause and every time he gets something going his way Ikegami takes the play away, 1-2 Ikegami, a big left from Tamada backs up Ikegami, overhand right from Ikegami, not much of anything landing back from Tamada who takes one on the nose...and I think that's broke it, went from a bloody dribble to a claret puddle. 4-2 Ikegami

 

7-Ikegami on the offensive with a nice combination, Tamada sees it off and backs up Ikegami, he needs something big and soo, but nope Ikegami comes back at him with more headshots, big flurry from Ikegami and Tamada goes down...up at 8...ref says "nah buddy no more". Good win for Ikegami! Tamada proved he was a tough mofo!

 

Next up:
Sho Ishida (28-2, 15) v Toshiya Ishii (3-0, 2)
This is the bout I was most interested in from Part 2

 

Ishida is moving up in weight and has about 3" on Ishii...huh

1-Ishida boxing behind his jab, Ishii (who has sparred with Kosei Tanaka to prepare for this) is pressing forward, Ishii's jab is is forcing Ishida to give ground, Ishida has a great jab himself though, all the pressure coming from Ishii, Ishida really trying to avoid a fight in the opening round, nice body shot from Ishida, Ishii pushed down, nice jabs from Ishida late in the round. Big body shot from Ishii just before the bell. Ishida's jab was good, but I liked the pressure of Ishii. 10-9 Ishii

 

2-Ishida gets too close and takes some clubbing hooks form Ishii, Ishii again forcing the pressure, nice body shot and one up top from Ishii. Ishida holding his feet slightly more this round, nice burst of shots from Ishida but they all glance the gloves, nice Ishii jab, an uppercut from Ishii catches the eye and he repeats it seconds later, Ishida with a body shot but he takes a hook up top, another uppercut from Ishii - to the body this time, and to the body again, Ishida looks to tie up, uppercut and body shot from Ishii, Ishida needs to get going and quickly, jabs from Ishida, and a straight from Ishida lands clean. 20-18 Ishii

 

3-Ishii pressing again behind his stiff jab, Ishida with a body shot, Ishii closing in on Ishida and letting heavy shots go up close, another uppercut from Ishii, Ishida really needs to do more...a lot more, uppercut from Ishida, body shots form Ishii, trading jabs which suits Ishida, 1-2 from Ishida and a right from Ishida, Ishida opening up and he MAY have done enough to steal the round, nope Ishii takes the play away. 3-0 (Close round though)

Ishii does have a bloodied nose from the jabs and the straights of Ishida

 

Ishii also cut over the left eye brow

4-Ishii trying to pressure and press, taking away the 1-2 of Ishida, that cut on the left eye is gonna be a ***** for him and he has to tighten his guard and rely less on his reflexes, Ishida backing up early on, nice jab from Ishii, double left hook from Ishii, and a right hand, a jab from Ishii, body shot and a jab from Ishida who seems to be finding his groove, Ishida looking very relaxed late in the round.
