When Sylvester KTFO's you, it's a very good sign you should retire. :-(

Are you nuts? An Abraham jab would KTFO Sylvester.

Castillejo took a huge amount of punishment in this fight at 40 years old. Hopefully he will retire very soon.

Well, Sylvester isn't known as a hard hitter. He just hit him flush on the chin. I've seen Sylvester's last four or five fights and I still think that Sturm will win a wide decision. He did look impressive today though.

Javier should retire, but c'mon, that would have knocked out most fighters, however powerful Sylvester normally is, that punch was massive.

And overall I thought Sylvester was extremely impressive tonight. Nice countering, made Javier miss a lot, fought through that cut, had Javier reeling a few times but kept enough composure to make sure he didn't rush in against someone with the power of Javier and just waited for the right opportunity to KO him, good stuff.

Yes. He's his mandatory now and will likely face him in his next fight.

Sturm's promoter already had a date scheduled for the Castillejo fight: July 5.
Don't know whether Sylvester will accept that or not.

Very impressive performance from Sylvester, made Castillejo miss all night, then stepped in for a jab or double jab, straight right. He ate him up inside and never got sloppy stepping out, but kept his guard up and caught most of Javier's counter shots.
Was patient and didn't push for the Ko if the opportunity wasn't there, maybe a bit too apprehensive a couple of times, that is the only knock on his performance tonight.
But he dominated and if he can keep that kind of movement, precision and pressure against Sturm, he could definitely win. Abraham is too much for him, but if he can get the belt from Sturm there is a better chance he will fight Abraham than Sturm fighting a unification match.
This fight really ****ed up Sturm's hopes for another easy defence.

Do you think Murat is ready for a top20 opponent like Sanavia?
