From a draw through one point shy of a shutout, that is quite the array.

Commentators agree with the latter, thinking Wale the clear winner.

Wale improves to now 30-11-2 (14) and is undefeated since he signed with Dennis Hobson Promotions.

Glenn McCrory replies "never say never" when asked of Wale's chances in the world title mix, as Hobson seems to have designs on poising him for a run. He says the division is very competitive, and Wale has already climbed up a bit in weight and is now 31, but if he follows his dreams and stays working hard, "never say never, because I once had a bad run, lost about half a dozen fights in a row, and went on to win a world title myself..."

(fact-check: pretty close, he did in fact go 1-5 in a slump from 1985-86)
