Freeview ESPN like Setanta Freeview???

This thread was talking about ESPN on FREEVIEW. The clue was in the title.

 

What UFC events did you watch on freeview past 3am?

And what boxing event, (excluding any involving Ricky Hatton, Clinton Woods or Joe Calzaghe) did you watch on freeview between 4am - 11am?

 

ESPN will probabaly buy more airtime for live events shown after 3am so it should be ok.

 

i called them and they said they wouldn't be having any commitment to televising live boxing, there'll be the odd delayed card here and there, i told them thats not good enough especailly seeing as boxing is the only thing i'd be signing up for

 

As the freeview bandwidth isnt available, and top up tv which will be the carrier of ESPN have other services to supply. (Delayed TV and Films) I doubt this will happen any time soon.

**** thats terrible news, i was really holding out hope for them picking up setantas contracts which im sure wouldnt have cost the world. once itv pull out we are going to be starved of proper boxing. those shitty shitty domestic nothing fights on friday nights, amir khan ppv's and the odd american fight in some way linked to a british fighter being shown ONE WEEK delayed off sky is all we have. no wonder the sport here is taking a 8 count:fire
