If Shane, Cotto or Floyd agree to fight Pac under 147 then that's their choice but 142 is a bit ridiculous to demand, although I suppose Roach is starting low because he knows a compromise would be reached at a little higher weight!

did you not see the DLH fight? He was drained as **** and looked like a corpse. Mosley is 37 years old not 25. A fight with Mosley at 142 at this stage is no different than what Oscar had to do and it left him looking like a complete joke. Either grow some balls and fight at 147 or admit you don't want the fights and move on to fight Valero or Tim Bradley instead of legit fighters. Don't lie to the public and put on a Roy Jones type farce where you act like you want the fight but really don't.

142 is a joke for mosley or Cotto or even PBF for that matter though he could make it easier than the other two.

If he fought Cotto or Mosley he would be out weighed by 10 pounds easy, just as Pac will. You know why neither needs to fight at a catch weight though? They have the skill to overcome size.

Frame wise Floyd is still much bigger than Pacquiao, he also hasn't seemed to want anything to do with Cotto or Mosley at WW.....

Frame wise. Regardless, only a few pounds difference exists between the most either has ever weighed. Floyd's bigger in the upper-body, Pac has huge legs, and they both provide strength and power!

I saw the Oscar fight and I agree with you. Mosley is 37 yes, but he's still one of the best active boxers around. What do you think would happen if Mosley connected clean on Pacquiao weighing 160lbs, with Pacquiao in there at about 147/148? The fight being at 147 would give far too much of an advantage to Mosley IMO. Mosley also isn't exactly slow.

He also hasn't said that if he fights them, they must be dehydrated POWs.

    Agree.

I just can't see Mosley, a guy who hasn't been below 147 for years, dropping the weight but then again for the $ involved he may be persuaded. Bad move imo.

i think pac will be willing to fight floyd @147 both of them being small WWs with pac weighing 148-149 and floyd 150 during fights.

but mosley and cotto are known to enter the ring weighing as much as 160 for 147 fights. i think the size disdvantage for pac would be too large. if the size difference was only about 5 lbs. or less like in the hatton fight (4 lbs.), then pac would've no prob fighting them @147. the catchweight somewhat makes up for mosley's and cotto's very big size advantage vs. pac.

Neither has Pacquiao. Infact he hasn't even said he wants to fight them. Mosley has admitted he's campaigning for the fight. If it was Pacquiao calling out Mosley then I agree he should be willing to go to 147 for it, but it's the other way round.

    Agree 100%

Giving near enough a stone away is pretty much unheard of.

That's a fair statement. 142 is asking a bit much though. I could see 144 being realistic.

I highly doubt we ever see Pacquiao in with Mosley. Unless Mosley really is crazy enough to call all of Roach's bluffs weight-wise. Roach said immediately after DLH that they would never fight Margarito, and we all saw what Shane did to him. Mosley is a physical freak and Roach knows this.

I think the best, most interesting fight for Pac aside from Mayweather is a title fight with Cotto at 147. Dangerous, yes, but how many more ATG rungs does he climb by picking up a legit belt at 147? Worth it IMO.

If it was at 147 it should have a fight night weight check as well.... near enough a stone difference in weight is just too much. Maybe a fight night limit of 154lbs or something....
