It wasn't the WBA who ruled Oquendo is the mandatory. It was a decision handed down by a court of law.

The pen is mightier than the sword. But you probably didn't know that either.

Bobby Hitz looking to have an opponent matched up for title fight with Fres outside of Ustinov and Charr:

“In the past two years since winning our Federal lawsuit, between Hitz Boxing and our partner Square Ring, we have promoted well over 20 events and could have promoted a bout for Fres on any one of them, but didn’t because we didn’t want to make Fres ‘unavailable’ and lose his shot. Now that Ustinov and Charr have decided to fight each other and are ‘unavailable,’ we will be petitioning the WBA to designate a new opponent for Fres to fight for the title. We have some things in the works which we hope to announce soon.”

Roy Jones and James Toney were winning in the pros nearly a decade before Oquendo and Austin happened along.

So basically the winner of this will be the WBA champion, Oquendo isn't beating anybody after his ridiculous lengthy break since his last fight which he lost easily. I predict he cashes out after losing the title shot he has waited so long for and doesn't deserve, hopefully we never have to here about him again

Oquendo was not any good when he was in his prime, but now he is way over the hill....................how did he get a ranking to fight for the title?! Shows us how corrupt boxing is...............

Not true! He was a solid boxer in his prime where he was shafted in a lot of fights. You should know this Farmie. Although yeah, he shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a world title these days.

Make Oquendo fight Povetkin for the WBA Regular, Povetkin is ranked #5 with the WBA.
