One night in November 1974 a 2-2, first year pro Mexican fighter would step up & wage war with Art Hafey, who Angelo Dundee called "the best little man he had ever seen." The Toy Tiger" was only 5'2 but was a integral part of the legendary California featherweight wars of the 1970's"

Russell, thanks for posting this. I've never seen this bout before. All I recall about this was when it took place I noted the similarity between Medrano's name and that of Alfredo Marcano, former jr. lightweight champion and another victim of Hafey's. I'll check this out over the weekend.

No problem, Art is one of my favorite fighters. I highly recommend The Toy Tiger documentary on Art and his life.

Any other Hafey fighters? For me, Art was everything great about the sport.
