Ace Boxing presents a WAR of GENERATIONS Friday 16 September at the Mansfield Tavern.

Terrible Trent Broadhurst takes on Josh Clenshaw for the vacant Australian Super Middleweight Title.

Broadhurst has risen quickly through Australian Boxings ranks and this fight will be the toughest assignment the talented youngster has faced. Josh Clenshaw is a seasoned fighter with 48 fights on his lengthy record, he featured in the hit series The Contender.

Tyrone Cyclone Tongia is making his first defence of his Australian Jnr Middleweight Title against James Giltrow. This should be a sellout night with both fighters having fantastic support in Brisbane and both camps desperately want to go home with the title.

Ha, I'm still very much tempted......... It's the drunken hike back to the north side that troubles me. Two day camel ride and a boat trip!

    Tongia in action Friday

    by Ray Wheatley–World of Boxing - 14th Sept 2011

Australian light middleweight champion Tyrone “The Cyclone” Tongia (16-2, 8 KOs) will return to ring action on Friday when he will defend the championship against James “The Goondiwindi Gun” Giltrow (12-2, 7 KOs) over ten rounds at the Mansfield Tavern in Brisbane, Queesnland, Australia.

Tongia captured the national 154 pound title in 2010 by outpointing Andrew Godsen in a closely contested bout and was impressive in stopping Pat Rullo in eight rounds of a title defense in 2011. James Giltrow scored his best win over tough Jason Kanofski in 2010 but was outscored over ten by classy Victor Chermous in Australian welterweight title bout in 2010.

In the main supporting bout over ten rounds with vacant Australian super middleweight title up for grabs Omar Shaick (8-2, 6 KOs) will punch it out with veteran Josh Clenshaw (24-19, 14 KOs). Also in action light heavyweight Aaron Russel and Lyndon Edney clash over six rounds. Televised throughout Australia on Foxtel Cable Television. Promoter Angelo Di Carlo.

That's a champion offer, but there's about 6 of us who get together for the boxing and for this one we're crowdig round the big screen with curry & beers!

    Appreciate the offer though.
