Yeah we know Andy Raymond rejected the fight...but you wonder if another broadcaster will pick it up? Sky Channel have shown the odd Australian card from time to time....OneHD will be doubtful based on Billy's antics on that network already & also ESPN Australia.
One-HD was never gonna be in the game, given promoters had cough-up coin to broadcast it. The other 2 will show it, if & when they spot a DVD @ local 'Cheap as Chips' store. FOX, I believe, coughs-up minimum 30k for rights.
Yeah I thought it was half that amount....unless you have some sponsors looking to get FOX TV exposure it's hardly worth it as your general crowd numbers will be down because its free on TV....$30,000 would be great for aussie boxing as it would allow the promoter to put on better cards
The thing is...if FOX gave 25-30k per fight night they would have to drop it down to MAX 10 cards per year otherwise their budget for boxing would be increased...something FOX dont want to do.
Agree but if they backed the sport a bit more and made sure the extra cash went directly into fighters pay then the numbers watching would increase and therefore advertising $ would rise and that will justify the extra spend

To be fair, i reckon dib has improved under billy h. He is punching a bit more and sitting in the pocket more. He has good speed, his lairising actually worked against him because he often got caught when he was fooling around. Here's a post from a good judge on lacierva: Lacierva is a little crude, but an effective pressure fighter. It's all the good and all the bad you can think of with that description. Sometimes he gets too wild with his punches, sometimes he'll shorten up and be really effective, and there's really no rhyme or reason for him going either way. Some people thought he beat Caballero on one of the Vazquez/Marquez prelims. I thought Caballero edged it, but that also made me think Caballero wasn't close to P4P. I'd consider him a very live dog against Dib.
