I have been talking up Friday for years. He dropped Iggy twice in their bout. Gave Povetkin his toughest fight to date and now knocks off Cameron for his bestest win to date. Big ups to my boy Friday!!!!

that is fantastic news. He has always been a gym warrior, and if he could just move that into his pro fights, he would be a tough match for anyone. Beating a 19-0 prospect like Shane Cameroon is a good win. And it makes Povetkin's stock rise a little more as well.

Thanks guys for the positive comments. It's easy to point out where he has come up short in some of his fights. I'm sure the well wishes would make him feel good. He's a really good guy and I'm feeling great that he got this win.

I actually thought he was gonna win this. Cameron's record looked REAL padded to me.

You're just a biased kiwi *****. Your boy got cut to ribbons and you can't handle it. Brutal ko, huh?:hey

I saved your excuses for another reply.
#1- Povetkin did not beat Friday up. He won by throwing more punches and with accuracy. Alex worked every second of the fight to get that win. #2- The video indicates that Cameron was most likely the bigger guy. He got ko'd by a guy that could make cruiser with a little fat loss and dropping a few lbs of water.

I agree, not to take anything away from Friday. I thought he won the 2nd round vs. povetkin and is a goodfighter. But the majority decision vs. walton and the slow progress told me Cameron was not good enough to be a contender.

Mate im a Ozzie and couldnt really careless about the kiwis but have to admit that by the 7th friday was down 6-1 rounds..

And believe 100% that the cuts changed camerons mindset which led to him being way to cautious..Which happened to be his eventual downfall, with Friday the 13th raining hooks and deadly uppercuts at will on a very shaken cameron..

Friday i thought by the 7th was looking to be going towards a losing 12ud but showed heart and real smarts at attacking the cuts with nearly every punch he threw..

A real tale of two stories,Cameron all over Friday from 1-to say 7 but from 8 onwards it was all friday..

Props to both fighters for putting on a great bout and props to Friday on the come from behind win..Really showed killer instinct when blood was spilled.

Cameron i feel can rebound from this as up until the 7th he was looking like a really top tier heavyweight. But in saying that what can be done about his skin??MASSIVE PROBLEM..

Cameron was out on his feet in the 9th, and the doctor checking his eye saved him. Cameron won the 10th and 11th in my opinion, but got clobbered in the 12th.

Friday is a durable journeyman, especially at 36, but he'll give anyone trouble, except for maybe Klit and Peter.

    Friday can bang.

He tagged Povetkin with that left. That made me believe that Povetkin does have a somewhat decent chin, as Alex did not flinch.

The Klit and Peter fights have already been practiced many times in the gym. I was not there to see Friday box Vlad but Friday did say that Vlad's left hook was the hardest punch in boxing( including Tyson's hook and Lewis' right hand). Friday would give Sam a much harder time than people think. I have seen Friday get the better of their sparring more times than not. Sam does step it up a bit in his fights though.

How is it luck? Friday threw shots that busted Shane's face up and then worked on the cuts, that's boxing. Cameron was a mask of blood when he was smashed with those fimal uppercuts and hooks. He tooks Shane's best but Shane could not handle Friday's shots.
