If his face always busts up then it's far from luck.

The other fights were different because Friday opened him up and then ko'd him. :thumbsup

That says alot about Povetkin beating Friday in his 6th fight, and already beating Larry Donald & Chris Byrd.

Friday is a tough, durable, and dangerous HW, I already knew that! He is under-rated because he lost to some very good HW's like Liakhovich, Povetkin, and Sultan. Although, Friday is tough enough to give most HW's a tough night.

The surface of the ring proved a handicap for friday in this fight, indeed he slipped over and on his ass 3 times. The boots he was wearing caused him a lot more grief than did Cameron, I believe had he been able to get real traction in some of those rounds, he would have had Cameron out of there much faster. Many times the ground traction denied friday his natural punching power and Cameron was able to look better in there than he actually was.

Some boxing ware soles are inappropiate for some types of ring coverings, especially when wet. Cameron didn't have quite the same problem. Cameron stopped slipping so much and became the target from about mid rounds on, and of course friday was allowing him to extend himself a bit before going after him.

Cameron just simply didn't belong in that type of fight at this point of his career, too many light breakfasts. Now whats he gunna do :huh

Yeah that 12th round assault was real luck. Back to the NZ club scene for the Mountain Warrior. It's nice to see Friday win and expose this bum. Kelvin Davis might have done it first had he not suffered that freak injury.

    You are right,langford!

Friday's upset victory makes Povetkin's stock rise a little more .
Good victory for the Nigerian fighter!

If Cameron's skin is so bad then maybe he should take up another sport. The only part of your round by round that matters is the part that says that Friday won. :deal

Any round by round given by you is worthless because of your obvious bias.

I was impressed by Ahunanya's performance against Povetkin. Very hard to hit clean or often. He gave Povetkin a pretty hard fight.

That video was on a New Zealand news report. Seemed to be reported well without a lot of bias. There is also a prefight video aswell.

Blocky , i just watched the fight..

Much thanks for the RBR you did for us.. as i had a vested interest in Fridays career..

I don't reckon that Shane is headded for a great future because he is limited and hets by on high fitness and strong resolve, but the botom line remains , in the last round with the pressure on he coundn't see the night through because of the weight Friday put on him. Had the fight been stopped on cuts i may have said .. damn he has that sad cut problem some unfortunate fighters had.. But Cameron was stopped on the floor after a second knockdown.. Not stopped on cuts .. but stopped period.. Fridays first loss was caused largely due to Sergei Lyachovich shutting Fridays left eye and Our guy not seeing the jab and hook coming but we still saw it through to the end even though his frigging eyes were shut tight.. Shane wasn't in with a World champ like Lyachovich either , according to you he was in with just a plain old journeyman, so why didnt he see it to the end.. Says a lot about the class difference.. Friday may just prove a lot of you wrong.. I hope a lot of you keep talking him down because he likes to be considered the underdog , it drives him to the kind of performances we saw on Friday .. Once more Blocky.. Thanks for the great round by round... I was very appreciative .. God bless...

Long rob... We have seen the Ahunanya v Peter fights a million times in the gym.. and the Chagaev v Ahunanya fight also.. I did happen to see the klitchko v Friday session in Top Rankand he did a lot better than Teke and Tubbs did on that occasion.. I just dont think many people realise how well he handles these guys every day behind closed doors. Samuel is handled like a kid with his daddy when Friday sparrs him.. I remember one ocasion when almost 30 people showed up in the back room of Toccos to see Samuel box Friday with headgear and 18 oucers on.. I suppose its all good history now along with that knockdown he scored over Chagaev in 2005.. I just remember Vincent Moses shreaking " what tha fk .. did u just see dat" God rest Vinces soul he would be so proud..
