You can't criticise the lad for wanting a Lonsdale belt outright, i'd want to make another defence if I were him just to win the strap. After that Frank could do worse than getting on some high profile undercards stateside just to get him known and give the lad some experience....he looks good, but I do worry about what seems to be a chin up attitude when he throws a shot with anything behind it, more experienced fighters would certainly take advantage.

As an aside...he does sound as camp as a row of pink tents when he opens his gob.

Cotto would be reckless matchmaking for a prospect thats not even fought the best of British. Jennings is stuck going nowhere and he's older, its a no lose scenario for him, whilst Kell could suffer a severe set back if he lost bad which is likely.

Make a meanginful defence against a proper fighter, get the Lonsdale belt, and move onto European.

I agree. I'm all for throwing lads in against the best to try to prove themselves, but taking on Cotto would be madness at this time...Jennings is just after one big payday at the tail end of his career.

Taking on Cotto would be silly at this stage.

I'm with TFFP - Matthew Hatton would be perfect, or Craig Watson. Someone with a chin, who will actually fire back.

This match was awful - he ought to be back in the ring in six week's time.

Salam could be a decent operator at British domestic level at super middle. That little bit more power an strength could make a difference for a fighter with his speed. Get the stamina levels up, and he'll be in the mix for a title shot IMO.

Good call, I doubt if we will see him in with Hatton though. Frankie would never allow it.

They seem to be producing these Mini Tyson's in Manchester, right down from the black attire to the style. Matthew Hall and Denton Vassell.

Vassell looks more promising. Vaguely justifying my ranking of him. Hopefully he can fight at welterweight. I don't think he's very big for junior middle, and he's an accumulation puncher that relies on volume and body shots, getting inside a rangier fighters jab, so he needs all the strength and power advantages he can get. Fight at 147 IMO.

    Great prospect.
