fury looked like the ring was too small and his arms were too long to get his punches off properly before mcdermot closed the gap.

i'm not convinced about the power of fury or his defence but got to say he can fight through adversity.

That's exactly right; Fury was even throwing panicked glances to his corner for advice in the rounds before the stoppage.

In his interview him and his corner were all screaming "PAUL BUTLIN! PAUL BUTLIN!" - not sure if he was calling him out or thanking him (is he part of the camp?). The guy is 12-10...

Fury was ****ed by the end of the 5th, his conditioning was terrible but the way he kept looking to his corner for encouragement made it seem like something wasn't right.

Now is the HW co-feature between Larry Olubamiwo and Dave Ferguson.

    Round 1

Olu in great shape; both are actually - a refreshing change from the softbodies in the main event. Good action right off the bat as they trade and move lightly on their feet. Olu working a jab and a 1-2, and finally gets Ferg into the ropes, and DOWN HE GOES off a right hand that sends him head and shoulders over the top rope; as he rebounds with his forearms covering his face Olu hits him with a jab and an unintentional rabbit punch on the way down. He's up at nine but it's over.

    Olubamiwo is now 9-1 (8 )

    MORE heavyweight action!

    Tom Dallas vs. Daniel Peret

    Round 1

Dallas tall and lean, while Peter is more compact with a bit of a barrel chest hanging over a pot belly, but massive arms. Dallas pops a nice quick jab and Peret hedgehogs. Peret tries an overhand right and then a hook to the body but the gap in handspeed is evident. Dallas begins to work the body under the elbows of the shorter Peret. Big 1-2 from Dallas crashes through the guard of Peret. Dallas buzzes Peret with an uppercut and has him careening backward. Dallas starts scoring with little love taps to the top of Peret's bald pate as it's the only clear target now. Dallas goes back to working the jab steadily. Peret loops a right hand behind the jab and pushes the heavier Peret back. Peret tries to drive a right hand into the chest of Dallas but too close to get it off with much power. Dallas bangs him with a solid straight right at the bell.

That was almost ten-eight for Dallas

    We'll call it 10-9

    Round 2

Dallas continues to work the 1-2. Peret backing up. Dallas loads up on right side-winders to the gut. Peret presses up under the chin of Dallas, holding his forearms out in front of his face. Dallas hits him and turns him, getting back to his desired range. Hard body shots from Dallas from the outside. Jab, jab, right hand, two more rapid rights - all land for Dallas. Peret sturdy, keeps coming. Peret telegraphs a right-left combination and winds up leaning against Dallas after missing. Dallas lets Peret dig the top of his skull into his chest and just brings his punches in short loops around to the side of Peret's head and body.

    20-18 Dallas

Sky Sports are being dicks, showing this on delay and skipping entire rounds to fit their programming schedule.

Here we go with Round FIVE.

Peret finally catches Dallas flush with a rainbow hook as Dallas gets lazily confident. Dallas still keeps his arms low, and peppers him with jabs and right hands. Dallas still working the body. Peret cat-slaps his way at Dallas with both fists but everything is blocked. Good right to the body by Peret in a clinch. Dallas hops out of it, and begins pouring jabs and rights into the face of Peret. Dallas dancing around, and Peret trying to upjab into his chin. Peret able to push him into the ropes and club with his left. Dallas with a jab/uppercut combination as Peret bulls in.

Not a terrible round for Peret but he still clearly lost it.

Presumably it's 50-45 for Dallas as the commentators didn't make mention of him being in trouble in the unaired 3rd or 4th.

    Round 6

Dallas trying to peck through with the jab and split Peret's guard open for a big right to put him away; Peret not obliging. Peret keeps defending until he's close enough to negate Dallas' reach and then swinging wildly when inside. Dallas in turn covers up and waits for Peret to cease punching, then springs back and returns to jabbing. A big looping Dallas right rocks Peret. A 1-2 catches him clean. Dallas is tiring a bit but should coast the remaining thirty seconds. Peret keeps trying to molest him, pushing with his forearms into Dallas' chest and then popping off little shots on the inside.

Another Dallas round, and should be a six-round shutout on points.

    The hits keep on coming.

David Price vs. Pavol Polakovic, another stubby little bald brick-house.

    Round 1

Price hops on his toes and works a snappy jab, mixing in a few body shots. Polakovic down from the first flush right hand. Up at 9. Down again a moment later as Price jumps in and whacks him quickly with both hands. Polakovic up at eight but no bother. It's done.

That was a sad non-effort from Polakovic after seeing the determination of the outclassed Peret just before.
