Augustus should have taken the hint from Omotoso. That was an unnecessary beating. Flashes of old form aside, he just got punished, probably for peanuts, on three days' notice. What's sad is that this means he was still at least somewhat expecting that he might get a last-minute call one of these days and is still messing around in the gym. Go to a buffet, Augustus! Eat yourself out of the weight range! Enjoy life. Don't box anymore. PLEASE.
So wasn't El Riel Hernandez supposed to be on this card? I was looking forward to seeing him in the case of an early KO in one of the cofeatures. :huh
I kinda of given up on FNF since they show too many non-relevant + boring fights. But im glad I was able to catch the last fight. 2 very young fighters in their pro debut fighting their hearts out. Not for money, not for fame, not for a title, nor a title shot, but just to win. Im so glad to see that. Joe Tessitore said it best "I rather watch 2 young debut guys like this fight than some Olympic star being brought up in a mismatch fight."
You've missed a great year then. There have been great fights through out the year. Tonight's card was yet another terrific night.
Really!? I felt there was plenty of dissappointment this year. But uh glad to hear you are enjoying the FNF lineup for the season.
They've had some pretty good ones this year, Boom. They weren't even necessarily that "relevant" but good stuff. The last Escalante fight, I thought was pretty satisfying. And earlier the Karmazin fight was a good one.
ive seen that one, definetely a FOTY candidate well i guess its just me then, its like i watch FNF every other week and that week always seems to be the dull one. I hope they put more young debut fighters against each other in the line-up.
Sometimes even if the fights look terrible, I just watch to see what kind of ridiculous analogies Atlas comes up with. And how he relates something completely unrelated to Mike Tyson.
Some guy looks winded and isn't throwing...Teddy starts salivating "You know there comes a time in a man's life..." and I know it's coming. "Blah, blah, blah,....It's like when Mike Tyson fought Evander Holyfield..." Score! Tyson reference, pay up, five dollars! I told you he'd do it! And he never talks about when Tyson wins either. It's always Tyson against Holyfield or Douglas.
Boom_Boom it sounds to me like the problem isn't so much with FNF as maybe you're just falling out of love with the sport (based on other recent comments in other threads as well). Maybe some "time off" is in order? This content is protected "We're on a break!" Anyway, I'm watching the second half of FNF after getting home way too late to soak it all in last night. NOBODY TOLD ME THEY DID A TRIBUTE TO THE LONE STAR COBRA! YOU *******S! That would have been worth staying up through that boring 4-rounder for, to have nice warm fuzzy images of Donald in my head for nigh-nigh time. No homo. Well, except for, you know... Anyway, I'm about to see what all this Ramsey fuss is about.
